Tonight our group left the restaurant very disappointed, and will not be back. This was our second visit, the first time being in 2017, and what drastically different experience. I do, however, need to give credit to the two girls at the bar. They served us our drinks while we waited for our table to be prepared, and were friendly and helpful and did a great job. Upon being seated, it all went downhill. Before we had the chance to take a seat, a server came and brought salads and soups together (assuming everyone was ordering hibachi) not even allowing time for a beverage order, or asking what we would like to order for appetizer or sushi, and never mind trying to eat a salad before being served the soup. We felt incredibly rushed and almost pressured into ordering only hibachi. Then when the actual waitress came to the table we had to ask for her to take our drink order (some from our group didnât get drinks at the bar). The chef was entertaining and engaged the kids at the table who enjoyed themselves. But, itâs the usual same old hibachi show. If youâve seen one, youâve seen them all. Food was terribly bland. While eating we had to flag down 2 other servers to find our waitress for refills on the non-alcoholic beverages. And here is what sealed the deal of us never returning nor recommending this restaurant... upon receiving the bill we noticed that we were charged for two adult hibachi meals instead of kids meals. And not even that the kids in our group could have been mistaken for adults or trying to push the envelope for their age to qualify as a kids meal... our kids are 4 and 7. When we brought the error to the waitressâ attention she had the nerve to blame us for not specifically asking for the kidâs hibachi. WTF! Again, we wonât be back and we will not recommend anyone to visit. However, if anyone who reads reviews prior to going, I strongly suggest verifying your charges on the bill. Donât let them cheat you like they tried...
Read moreThis was our first time here, we read reviews and figured this would be a nice place to go. We drove up on a Friday so before we went I figured I would call to see if they had any happy hour deals or specials, so the associate over the phone explained that they did not have any drink specials but between 3-6pm they offered "free wings" but you had to qualify for them. So we got there 10mins before 3pm, sat at the bar with few other customers and order appetizers, sushi and drinks. So I asked the associate that was serving us, if there were any happy hour deals, she said no but they offer the free wings if you "qualify" for every drink/food purchase. Okay. So at that point we already ordered, appetizers, drinks, and 5 sushi rolls. So now its after 3pm and she still doesn't offer us any wings. So Im thinking maybe they just don't offer free wings if your buying food but then another couple came in and a different associate asked THEM if they wanted free wings because their drinks "qualify" them to receive wings but they decline. So then I was thinking maybe our server just didn't want to mention wings. But then, a couple of male customers (Im assuming locals) because they came in automatically order drinks and our server asked them if they want the free wings and they accept and ask for sauce on the side. So me and my boyfriend were very confused because I called ahead of time to ask about the specials, ask again once we got there and she never offered us the free wings. So after we heard her offer wings to everyone but us we decided to get the check and leave. The sushi was good, rolls were a bit small and a tad bit more expensive than we usually pay. But based on the lack of customer service, we...
Read moreAfter spending a wonderful day in Stowe we thought this from the outside nice looking Restaurant would be the perfect place to have a meal. We are a family of 5 and were seated right by the bar even though the restaurant was pretty much empty. No waiter came and the bartender after almost 15 minutes of seeing us waiting with the 3 kids decided to ask us for our order. We then waited almost 1 HOUR for our food! 5 different orders all of them bad! The fried rice was as if it was old and reheated in the microwave. The white rice was completely dried out. The potstickers were like rubber! I could barely cut them! My daughters Lo Mein noodles were so greasy she couldn't eat them and made her sick! My Hot and sour soup was " hot" but not sour at all! My other daughter had ordered the General Tsao chicken and her "salad" ( weird to get salad) was SWIMMING in dressing and the chicken dried up and tasteless! My husband was so hungry he ate his Hunan plate despite the vegetables still being cold and it being the worst he ever had he said! We have eaten in many Asian restaurants all over the US and the world, so we know what these dishes are supposed to taste like and this was so disappointing! Not to mention the women's bathroom was FILTHY (someone had peed on the floor in 1 stall , pee all over the seats in both and there was trash everywhere like it has not been cleaned in a while! YUCK!) and to top it off the service sucked! The bartender who served us never checked on us, had no personality and was unfriendly. Very...
