APRIL 2025 A Truly Delightful Evening at G. Willikers in Stowe, VT, so good I have to write a second review. My recent dinner at G. Willikers in Stowe, VT was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a memorable culinary experience. We started our meal with the crab cake appetizer, and it was a true standout. The cake was perfectly pan-seared to a golden crisp, revealing a generous and flavorful filling of sweet, succulent crab meat. There was minimal filler, allowing the quality of the crab to shine through. The accompanying sauce was a delightful complement, adding a touch of brightness without overpowering the delicate flavors of the seafood. It was, without a doubt, one of the best crab cakes I've had in a long time. For my main course, I opted for the filet mignon, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. I requested medium, and it arrived exactly as ordered – tender, juicy, and boasting a beautiful sear. The quality of the beef was evident in every bite, melting in my mouth with a rich, savory flavor. The accompanying creamed spinach was velvety smooth and wonderfully seasoned, a classic side done exceptionally well. The sautéed mushrooms were another highlight, earthy and flavorful, with just the right amount of butter and herbs. The combination of the steak and these sides was a symphony of textures and tastes that left me completely satisfied. This savory main course was complemented by a lovely California Pinot Noir. To conclude the meal, the apple tart was a delightful choice. The crust was flaky and buttery, and the apples were tender and sweet with a hint of cinnamon and blended beautifully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It wasn't overly sweet, making it a perfect light and refreshing end to a rich and satisfying dinner. Beyond the incredible food, the service at G. Willikers was attentive and friendly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations. The pacing of the meal was perfect, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed. Overall, my dining experience at G. Willikers was truly exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, the skillful preparation, and the warm ambiance all contributed to a fantastic evening. If you're looking for a memorable and delicious dinner in Stowe, VT, I highly recommend a visit to G. Willikers. You won't be disappointed! FEBRUARY 2025 We attended the special Valentine’s Day dinner and wine tasting at G Willikers Cateringin in Stowe, VT last night and I was very impressed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Each course (see menu) was prepared perfectly and the wine selections were a perfect complement. Of special note was the delicate beet salad, delicious. The scallops with veloute sauce was outstanding. The homemade flourless chocolate cake and dessert wine was a great finish. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. I understand G Wilikers will be starting monthly “super club” dinners and we plan to attend future dinners/wine tastings. I have had excellent brunches at G Willikers as well. Dinners are a new venture for them and if last night was any indication they will be doing some great dinners too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great brunch or special dinner in Stowe

Visiting family in Burlington, VT and we made a special trip out to G Wilikers in Stowe, VT for Sunday brunch. It’s a cute little restaurant attached to a local inn. We arrived near the end of brunch service but when we entered, were greeted & seated (no wait). The vibe is cozy inside - minimal and modern decor with dark woods, exposed beams and industrial touches. Definitely giving upscale casual space with a straightforward menu (Sweets/Savory/Omelettes/Sandwiches & etc./Sides). Our server took our drink orders and even placed an immediate order for pancakes for my “starving to death” little one. For drinks we ordered coffee, Bloody Mary’s, mimosa with pineapple juice, orange juice and an Irish coffee. I loved my mimosa which was a generous pour and got to enjoy the garnishes from my uncles bloody (it comes topped with bacon/celery/olices/lemon & lime)! I also tasted the Irish coffee which was topped with a little whipped cream and brown sugar, the first sip put hair on my chest too strong for me but hubby loved it. Our group of 6 pretty much covered the menu; we ordered mom’s pancakes with side of bacon; 2 orders of Gerald’s eggs Benedict; stuffed French toast; a la carte pancake/sausge/egg, and a lobster roll for me. When I say this was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had I mean it! Beautiful chunks of lobster meat, simply dressed and served in a buttered roll with perfect fresh cut fries. My mouth is watering remembering it! Everything tasted amazing! Like incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. Delicious bacon & hollandaise on the eggs Benny (2nd best bite); perfectly fluffy pancakes with maple syrup; sweet mascarpone in the stuffed French toast - I didn’t even need syrup. The chefs really did a great job and since we were the last to leave they came out to greet us and ask how our meal/service was. We have plans to be in the area again and I’m thinking of returning to taste more.

Brunch at G. Willikers was fantastic! I had the eggs Benedict and it was delicious — perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and beautifully plated. My friends had the lobster roll and pancakes with eggs, and every meal was a hit. You can tell the kitchen puts real care into every dish. The service was warm and attentive, and the vibe was cozy and relaxed. Perfect for a weekend brunch. Hard to believe it’s only been open less than a year — it already feels like a go-to spot. If you haven’t been yet, definitely make the trip. G. Willikers is a gem and absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Having G Willikers provide the catering was THE easiest choice to make while planning our wedding. Emma was a delight to work with and was communicative, helpful, and patient throughout. The food was both delicious and beautiful, and really nailed the "simple and elegant but also hearty" vibe we were going for. The charcuterie spread was almost too pretty to eat (but once the first person dug in it was a free for all) and Emma and her team created a beautiful display for our buffet setup. We went for the "Taste of Vermont" spread and all our guests raved about the food both during the event and when talking about it after. (Very specifically, the sweet potatoes were a hot commodity and I would legitimately eat them every. single. day.) We would absolutely work with G Willikers again to cater an event, and we consider ourselves lucky that we live locally and can drop in to their restaurant and take advantage of their talents on a regular basis! THANK YOU...
