Charming quaint place on the main drag in Historic Strasburg. Nicely decorated, cool vibe. It was one of two breweries that was located 15 minutes from our Airbnb. Suggested this place because I was familiar with their beer, which I love. They had a nice selection of beer. I got a flight for $10 and it was very enjoyable. My food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the fish and chipswhich was the daily special for $15. Normally, it’s $21. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging that much for frozen products. At the Bulls Head Tavern in Lititz You can get a fresh piece of fish and fresh cut fries for 13 bucks. It came with a side of slaw that was just red, cabbage and mayo, No seasonings whatsoever. The tartar sauce was green and tasted nothing like it should. My friend got the biscuit French dip which was supposed to be a hoagie, but really was a Panini. It was OK nothing special. My other buddy got the chicken cheesesteak, which was good, but the flavors of the sauces were so intense that I could only eat a piece about 2 inches long and couldn’t take it anymore. Do you really need to add Gorgonzola, buffalo and ranch to a sandwich? He got it with Garlic Parmesan fries, which were tasty even though they were frozen. For appetizers, we had sprouts, which were good and the cauliflower bites which weren’t. Mostly breading with very little cauliflower inside. I’m assuming they were frozen also. The peach chipotle barbecue sauce was OK. Service was great and his mentioned before it really is a nice little place. Go a four pack of Fest beer to go, which was really nice. They would really have to up their food game for me to return and I don’t see that happening anytime...
Read moreIt took a good while to be seated and we were short one menu. Our drinks and appetizer orders were taken by our waitress, Angelica F., but did not return until our appetizers were being delivered to finally take our entree order. (Which was not fast to come either). The Brussels sprouts were great but the pretzels were just okay.
We waited an incredibly long time for our entrees to arrive and we had actually just asked for the check to leave and then the food came out. One order was wrong and we had told the waitress. She quickly became defensive and had quite the temper. We explained that we had ordered fries AND onion rings and she said that they only do fries OR onion rings and if we wanted both then we should have told her because "I don't know if you don't tell me" but we did very clearly tell her when ordering. When we complained about how long it took to get the food, she said "well that's not my fault. How is that my problem?," She also said that the speed was not something she could help, but best on the amount of time she spent in the kitchen, unable to be found by customers, I certainly could've thought otherwise... She tried to defend herself by saying that she got us drinks when they were empty, while my water had actively been empty for 20 minutes.
Overall, pretty meh food, nothing we even wanted to bother taking home and...
Read moreEdit from previous post: returned for repeat take out, food was delicious, and it is constantly good from other take out experiences, they make an excellent cheesesteak imho, the cheese sauce is bomb. Wings are also fantastic. Pick up was quick and easy. Cannot speak to general atmosphere or vibe as I have never eaten in the restaurant . In regards to my previous post, man agent was quick to reach out from a customer service standpoint so that is awesome to see . Would (and do) recommend on food quality alone.
Work near by and order take out frequently, food is typically excellent. Stopped in for a beer, a bite and table service for the first time . Ask to sit outside, was told yes and that a server would be sent out to see me. It was not a particularly busy afternoon, waited patiently for 10 minutes, no service, walked back in to see bartender, and two other workers lounging at bar casually chatting. Left due to lack of service. Would suggest communication be improved so an over site does not happen...
