I didn't have the food, I was a passenger awaiting my parents to get their food. I did have a soda which wasn't bad for a "cola"
So why 2*?
Because when we pulled in there were maybe 4 other cars. One was already served, another was ordering and I think the other two were waiting on food.
We were greeted quickly, and given a menu, then the server came over quickly. All of this was at about 12:30-1ish, so the lunch rush. We could see the cooks from where we were parked. After my dad ordered his meal (single bacon cheeseburger with fries and a diet cola) and something for my mom (diet cola and med fries) and for me (cola) we proceeded to wait until nearly 2pm for our food. Meanwhile, another car had pulled up, ordered and was receiving their food. Initially my dad was going to enjoy his meal at Weber's. My mom and I work together and this was a pit stop between jobs. After like 35 mins I started to get frustrated. How long does it take to make a bacon cheeseburger, two orders of fries and 3 drinks? My mom offered to drive so my dad could eat in the car. We got his burger and two fries and my cola and his diet cola and were all too frustrated to make the girl come back with another soda so we said screw it and left. My parents were excited to show me a Weber's bc it was from their youth. This experience made me sure to never want to visit at least this particular Weber's. I have like 6 Wawas and Royal Farms to choose from on 30, I don't need to waste 40+ mins waiting for a burger...
Read moreI've lived down the pike from this Drive-Through Root "Beer float" restaurant for literally my entire life but I never got to go here before it went out of business. So then I'd drive by this closed down drive through for like I don't know, 10 years... Always turning my neck to quickly check it out and wonder "what if" ... I don't know what it was, I mean even the building itself was always intriguing to me... And I wholeheartedly never thought I'd ever get the chance to try this place out.
BUT I'M GLAD TO SAY THAT THE NEW OWNERS JUST RECENTLY REOPENED THE DRIVE THRU!!!!! One more thing to cross off my bucket list!
But seriously the food was obnoxiously good for no apparent reason (we got the bacon cheeseburger with ketchup and fries and root beer floats)... Super basic for an order. I didn't know what to expect but the waitress came up to my car window to take our order and the food came out fast, plus our waitress was super friendly, and very delightful the entire time, even though I arrived right before closing time.
I can't wait to go back there more in the future and try other items on their menu... If you're like me and have passed by this drive thru restaurant while it was closed... then I highly suggest you stop by as soon as you get the chance. It's worth it and it's so exciting to see this place come...
Read moreI went here because I wanted a burger. I almost stopped at McDonalds, but I didn't becaise I wanted a GOOD burger. I made the wrong choice.
I paid $5 for what was basically a McD's small cheeseburger patty on a potato roll. I opted out of adding mushrooms because they wanted another $1.50 for that!! The patty was overcooked and smashed literally paper thin so that it overhung the potato roll. The rolls are the same kind and small size that come in an 8-pack at a grocery store. The patty was literally see through, as was the slice of cheap grocery store cheese. The burger was so greasy that it dripped on to my shirt before I even unwrapped it. Everything I've touched in my car is coated in grease now because the small napkins were insufficient to control the problem.
The fries were $3 for a portion the size of a McD's small. Overall I paid $13 for a poor quality McD's Happy Meal. I should've stuck with the arches. Even their root beer was weirdly tasting and left a chemical sweetener aftertaste behind it.
The carhop was friendly and the service quick. The food was hot. Sadly the ordering experience was the end of anything pleasant here. The food was overpriced and terrible....
