Everything here is adequate. The decor hasn't changed at all since Panini's, it's almost identical minus a few minor changes. Gino's is well staffed with capable workers all around, unlike some other restaurants nearby post pandemic. The menu is generic but has a unique twist here and there. The wine list is great and fairly priced, I'll include pictures of that and everything we ate Gino's minus the salad, everyone knows what a salad looks like. The starter bread was nice, unexpectedly good and set a good indicator for what could follow. The provolone wedges were just as you'd expect. The entree salads were average, nothing to write home about. The entrees themselves really sealed the deal for us. Chicken parmesan was stunning start to finish and so was the pasta bolognese. The bolognese sauce is very sweet but welcome with a unique pork and beef mixture base. The marinara sauce was typical, nothing unusual just your textbook pasta sauce. Our bill was $56 excluding tip for a water, glass of red wine, app, and two entrees. Lots of competition here in Strongsville for food but this location will more than likely thrive. Plenty of demand for Italian restaurants and there is little to no competition within 0.5 miles and with 47,000 hungry residents in Strongsville I'm sure Gino's will be around to stay. We are curious to try the bar area inside and the outdoor patio once spring 2023 comes around.

At Ginos now, and have currently been waiting an hour for my food. I’ve been here once before and ordered takeout a few times. The takeout is usually ready in 25 minutes so I’m not sure why we’ve been waiting an extremely long time for everything today. Server didn’t even bring bread until the salad came…. In the same breath we watched another couple come in after us and get most of their food before us. The food is usually pretty good. Wondering what the difference is today in how long it’s taking versus when we pick up. My boyfriend isn’t happy with how the salmon tastes or how his pasta is seasoned. And my Mussels are overcooked 😪 Bad experience overall.

Overall I would say that my experience here was really positive and I liked the food. The chicken alfredo was good, although my chicken was slightly overcooked and the char made it taste bitter. I’m assuming that was a one time thing though. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Much better than most generic Italian restaurants I’ve been to. Great wait staff and everyone here was really nice. This is a really nice restaurant and I am looking forward to coming back and trying one of their sandwiches for lunch when I have time.

A Hidden Gem for Lunch on Cleveland’s Westside!

My family makes it a tradition to go out for lunch once a week, always hunting for something fresh and local—and Gino’s More Than Italian absolutely delivered! When I heard they had launched a new lunch offering, I didn’t hesitate to pick it for our weekly outing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Gino himself is not only a fantastic host, but a true professional who genuinely cares about his guests. He made his way to each table, checking in and offering a smile and kind words—something you rarely see these days.

The food? Outstanding. The value? Even better. I ordered the meatball sandwich, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had. The meatballs were sliced perfectly to fit the toasted, crunchy bread, which impressively soaked up the flavorful sauce without turning soggy. Every bite was crisp, hearty, and comforting. My parents each ordered a pizza—pepperoni and sausage—and let’s just say one would have easily fed them both. Luckily, the leftovers made for an excellent next-day lunch!

My aunt raved about her fresh, well-balanced salad, and my other aunt and uncle enjoyed both the wings and the soup—nothing but clean plates and satisfied smiles all around. Portions are generous, the pricing is fair and thoughtful, and the flavor is clearly crafted with pride.

Though she wasn’t working during our visit this time, I have to give a special shoutout to Dora, one of their standout servers. In previous visits, she’s been nothing short of phenomenal—attentive, professional, and genuinely in tune with guests’ dietary needs and preferences. You’re never left with an empty glass or an unanswered question when Dora’s on the floor.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-timer, Gino’s new lunch menu is worth your time—and your appetite. We’ll absolutely be...

Updated review: My first experience was a good one. The second one was awful enough that i did not return for over a year. tonight I gave it a third try and it looks like Gino has legit tried to fix some of the issues he had when he first opened.

When we came in we were asked how many and NOT AUTOMATICALLY OFFERED THE BAR. That was a good course correction from what was happening before.

The food was good. Salad was a bit odd. Like giant leaves of lettuce from the head.. Usually it is ripped a part a little....

The table service was average. It was just an odd vibe. Usually the servers ask the table if its one check or mutiple. They didn't. I had to mention. I felt like our server was more of a server you might find in a 1950s diner in new york city. I was expecting her to be chewing gum also. Not sure where that came from. I think Gino still needs to work on the service itself. Also I gather the older gentlemen walking back and forth through the restaurant with the Fedora was Gino's father or relative. He was standing there just gazing into the dining room at times. I know he was just kind of looking to make sure everything was okay but it was a weird feeling. Again I know It is a work in progress. I am now totally behind Gino because strongsville is in desperate need of a local, non-chain, non-glassman restaurant group owned Italian place. i want him to succeed desperately.

Just a few minor tweaks to really make this place shine.

finally my friend was not sure about the tv's at the tables. I am fine with them. Just one suggestion. Clean them please. There was all kinds of grim and oils from peoples fingers all over them. Have the hosts, or busser's or servers or anyone just take glass cleaner to them. Gino I apologize for my previous review. I really hope...

First off, an 18% gratuity is included in your bill, no matter the party size, and then they give you the option of adding more gratuity on top of your bill with the already added gratuity. The food was just so so, nothing to write home about. Service was slow, mostly on drinks. Had to ask 2-3 times where drinks were because of only one so called bartender working the bar. Our server ended up making the drinks after she forgot we had ordered them. It was like walking into the old Panini’s- not upgraded in the least! Will we eat here again- No!!! Best of luck to you! The driveway was very icy, plow job was horrible, sidewalks nor driveway was salted. So fast forward 7 months…… all the reviews that say this place is awesome are you sure you’re reviewing the same place??? Thought we’d give it a try once again and I can guarantee it is the last!!!! We were here for over 2 hours and were able to get one drink at the bar while waiting for a table. Ordered another drink once we sat down and never ever got it. Bartender was very slow and needed help with no one stepping in to help her. The management here is ridiculous! Our poor server, who was very good, was getting yelled at by other customers for things out of her control. Despite the sign we are short staffed please be patient, which most people were, it became a little excessive. The food is so so. If you want great service, drinks when ordered and real Italian food , I highly suggest Valenti’s on 82 in...
