Wow! Bo Lan blew us away! It was our first visit and we started with Edamame. You can't really mess this up so I would say it was 'average'. Next my husband and I shared yellowtail crudo which was eight large pieces of yellowtail with jalapeño and Panzu sauce. I think it was the best ive ever had! Next, we each had a piece of Uni (sea urchin) They don't have this every night so if you 'need' this, call in advance. It was fresh, creamy and delicious though i prefer a quail egg on top as opposed to the sliced cucumber they served it with. Next we shared the Tuna nachos. The Tuna was chopped fine and each of eight, made in house nacho chips, had a large dallop. The chips were fresh, thin and crispy and not at all greasy. It was finished with a two sauces and scallions. Phenomenal!! My husband got a dancing eel roll which has asparagus, cream cheese and avacado, topped with cooked eel. He loved it! I had a spicy scallop roll that I would not say was 'spicy' but add your own Wasabi to kick it up to your preference. The scallops are raw and SO fresh, cold and creamy! It has no fishy taste what so ever and I highly recommend you give this a try because not all sushi places offer raw scallops. This roll was exceptional!! We were so stuffed and ordered a little too much but it was an awesome experience and we will definitely be back soon! Our waitress, Samai was helpful and attentive, re-filling water several times, without being asked. We sat by the front window in a 'private' feeling area but the interior of the restaurant is simply decorated and beautiful. I am a lover of eggplant with garlic sauce. Samai, checked with the chef and told me that they would make it for me next visit! I haven't had good eggplant at many places so I'll look forward to trying that. Prices, we felt, were very reasonable. The two pieces of uni was are most expensive item ($22 for two) and we had a large, amazing meal for $120...
Read moreVenturing on the other side of the train tracks and in the shadows of the Roosevelt Bridge in Stuart, we found this small, cozy, attractive restaurant that was a pop up on Face Book so we gave it a try on a windy Friday night. With no reservations and plenty of free parking at the Bridge Plaza shopping mall, we parked right in front and received a nice white table cloth cover for two by Roselyn, who was the hostess. We were met with Mai, who gave us splendid, attentive service, we ordered the Steamed Dumplings, Crab Rangoon, two pieces of Nigiri Shrimp Ebi, and a Wonton soup. All the apps were, tasty, flavorful, fresh and hitting the spot!!! Followed by a chicken Red curry for me, and a Korean Beef Bulgogi for my wife. Both entrees were very good, nice sized portion, making our palates happy!!! And we did BYOB. Nice, attractive, cozy decor. Even the bathrooms were clean!!! Thats a big plus!!! We will be back for sure!!!...
Read moreTerrible experience. We arrived on time for our 5 PM reservation and the restaurant had not opened yet. When we were seated the waitress informed us that there was no sushi available which was half the menu. Then we ordered appetizers to be told that many of those were unavailable because the kitchen wasn't ready yet. Our dumplings were served at room temperature and had to be sent back. When they came back they were tough as though they were microwaved. More than An hour later our entrees arrived. One steaming hot and the other luke warm which was also sent back and taken off the bill. We shared the only hot entree, Crab Fried Rice...
