As a Stuart resident I really wanted to love this place. How exciting to have a brewery here - plus a seemingly impressive food menu that goes beyond your typical bar food. I did love some things - the decor and vibe were super cool and the patio looks awesome. You can tell a lot went into making this place come to fruition. The beers were decent for a new brewery. I liked the saison and berliner and my husband liked the IPAs. We both got two flights, trying 8 of their beers, plus he ordered another pint.

Here's the downfall. The food menu is overpriced for the quality we got. No one checked in with us the entire time we were eating. I don't mind paying $16 for a burger if it's amazing and you can actually cook it to the temperature I ordered. I ordered medium-rare and it was well done. The beer cheese sauce leaked out of the burger and was all over the tray, so the burger was swimming in it, making the bun a wet mess. Also, the beer cheese sauce was overwhelming in amount yet, bland and unsavory in flavor, overtaking the whole burger.

We got the sriracha honey spice wings for $13 on receipt (menu read $12) and the sauce was all honey, no Sriracha. The honey sriracha sauce had a flavor of profile of a glazed donut, it needs to be spicy with a hint of sweet, not all sugar. For the large portion of wings, they served the blue cheese (which tasted only like buttermilk) in a tiny little ramekin half-full – enough for 2 wings. When I jokingly said we'll need more blue cheese than that, they brought another and charged me .50 cent for it, as I later saw on the bill. Who cares about the .50 but come on, nickle and diming me like that isn't cool, when the serving was half empty to begin with.

If the beef in the tri-tip poutine ($12) really is wagyu then cook it like such, don't slice it super thin and overcook it. This was probably the best of the three dishes.

Like I said, no one checked in on our meal while we were eating but I told the bartender about the burger after we were done as feedback to the chef that it was well-done and offered to show the pic posted here but she declined to look at the pic and said she wished we said something before. No comp for the burger, and no mention that she would pass on the feedback. She offered us two beers instead and even though we didn’t want to drink anymore, we accepted.

I was happy to see a good amount of wine options, but many of the glass prices $12-$16 is pretentious and absurd, for a casual brewery. Overall, the food menu is trying to be foodie but missing the mark. For 2 flights, one beer, and 3 food items, plus over 20% tip, we spent $90, which is ridiculous for what we got. I think we’ll let them work out some of the food kinks before we’ll be back and I'll update...

If you’re anywhere near Stuart and not pulling into Ocean Republic Brewing, I’m convinced your GPS is broken. This place is the real deal — equal parts laid-back and full of life. Whether you’re coming in post-run (like yours truly) or just looking to unwind, this brewery delivers.

Let’s talk beer: I did a flight and a few pints, and wow… just wow! Every pour had its own vibe. But my favorite? Tropic Like It’s Hot. Fruited blonde ale with watermelon notes that straight-up tastes like summer in a glass. Light, crisp, and refreshing without trying too hard — just like me after three drinks. 🍉☀️

I also tried Glassic, their award-winning amber lager, and let me tell you, that medal on the wall ain’t just for show. It’s got that perfect malty backbone and a smooth finish that makes you go, “Okay… okayyy!”

Other standouts included:

Thrasher IPA – Bold West Coast style, loaded with Chinook and Simcoe hops. Piney, citrusy, and unapologetically hoppy.

Danny Boy – Their Irish red ale. Malty, mellow, and just the right level of roasty. Honestly, it was like comfort beer — pairs well with deep conversations or pretending you’re in a pub in Dublin.

New Moon – Dark and mysterious. If beers had alter egos, this would be the brooding antihero. Rich, smooth, and a little dangerous.

AND THEN — there were the Reuben Eggrolls. Holy flavor bomb. These crispy little beauties might’ve stolen the show. Perfectly packed with corned beef, cheese, kraut, and that sauce that had me considering licking the plate (don’t worry, I kept it classy-ish).

The outdoor seating is vibey with string lights, the inside has that industrial charm, and the staff were friendly without hovering. They know beer, and they want you to enjoy it — no gatekeeping here.

Can’t wait to come back for round two. Ocean Republic, you’ve got a new...

Ocean Republic Brewery is easily my favorite local spot—I find myself here often! The food is consistently outstanding, beautifully cooked, and creatively presented. It’s elevated bar food that feels classy yet approachable, and the menu offers so many delicious options. Some personal favorites I order regularly are the Wagyu sliders, their “beerza,” savory pork sliders, and mouthwatering poutine—all dishes that perfectly highlight how ORB takes bar food to the next level.

Their house-brewed beers are equally impressive, especially their IPAs. Each beer I’ve tried has had its own unique character—expertly balancing bold hop flavors with refreshing, citrusy undertones. They’re full-bodied, flavorful, and memorable, keeping me coming back to try each new offering. And for those who prefer cocktails, the bartenders are fantastic mixologists, consistently crafting smooth, balanced, and top-notch drinks.

The atmosphere is always welcoming, lively, and relaxed, thanks especially to their live music on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger and enjoy the vibe. Plus, their brunch menu available on weekends is a delicious reason to visit during daytime hours—always fresh and full of flavor.

Special holiday menus are another highlight—each seasonal dish I’ve tried has been uniquely delicious, ensuring I never miss the chance to stop by during holidays.

Last but certainly not least, the servers at Ocean Republic Brewery are amazing—friendly, attentive, and skilled at creating an experience that’s both relaxing and fun every single time.

If you appreciate fantastic local beer, creative cocktails, elevated bar food, and an inviting atmosphere with exceptional service, ORB is the place to go. Highly...

So we ended up at ORB through a series of unfortunate events. And boy are we happy we did. Craft brewing places with food can be hit or miss. Most tend to be way over priced and I pretentious hipster places up north. This was far from that. Most beers were 6 bucks by glass with other options available with a wide variety and menu with good descriptions. The food was reasonable priced. We split a $14 dollar dolphin finger app (fried Mahi strips) They were served with a spicy sauce and excellent. We also split pretzel bites and cheese. They were probably some of the best pretzel bites I've had. They were toasted after being cut and that little thing took them up to 11. Beers were excellent. I had a Java Kraken kolsch. You could smell the coffee more than taste it We sat on the patio and except for a cigarette smoker wafting our way due the wind, it was a super pleasant place to eat. Our server Autum was really busy. She was super nice and very patient answering all our silly tourist out of towner questions. She even tracked down the t-shirts in my size that weren't out on display. We're thinking about going back tomorrow so we can take Zoe Puppy since they are pet friendly. And $11.99 beer and burger night. So if you are in the area, avoid the really tourist like places and give it a try. Definitely has a more local feel to me.
