China Star — Restaurant in Stuart

Upon entering to pick up my To-Go order, I felt the business might be struggling due to Covid. I felt good about giving them business and wanted to make sure I gave them a tip. I waited about 15 minutes longer than the 20mins they quoted, which was fine. Once I got my meal I was happy to get it home. When we opened up the items it was clear they got it wrong. The chow mein was a soup; with no noodles and nothing resembling chow mein. The sweet/sour pork was simply fried pork something. No sauce or vegetables. I called and stated they gave us the wrong items, only to be told I was wrong and argued with. I told them I would send pictures. Sent pictures attached and asked for refund of the chow mein and sweet/sour pork. No response. The wontons in my wonton soup were just bland with no filing. Moo shoo pork was unrecognizable and tasted terrible. I should have read the reviews first. By far the worst Chinese food (Americanized or traditional) I've ever had. I’ve ordered from China star many of times along with my coworkers. Tonight I decided I wanted to order delivery at my house instead. I Called to order, got to the last part and the lady says I’m too far for delivery. I told her address to address was less than 12 minutes cause I checked before I ordered. She went back and forth with me for a couple minutes before hanging up in my face. I was just trying to confirm I had the right address and I also tried tell her that although my order was $14 I would give her a good tip to make it worth the drive (although if you ask me that’s not far at all Compared to other areas I’m sure they deliver to) Just 0/10 for customer service tonight. Very disappointed. We spend money with this restaurant so much so that she had my office address saved under my phone number. You would think they would care about a good customer. Not hang up in their face instead of a resolution. Bad taste...

This place is the worst. I order General tso’s Chicken platter with fried rice. The taste was not appetizing. The sauce was running for General Tso’s. The fried rice was just as bad. It was lite brown, bland and had no vegetables, no eggs and no pork. Just plain tasteless brown colored rice. My daughter had the chicken broccoli platter with fried rice . Same bland nothing to writes home about. My son had the fried wings. Tasted like no effort was put into it . A little more seasoning would have gone a long way. Spent $44 and it was very disappointing. This place need to focus on taste and quality. Get a new cook please!! I will never be going back to this place until they get a new cook.
