So we came here today after we have not been here for about a year since we had our new baby. Boy were we shocked to see it was owned by Kyle Gs.
When we walked in, first thing we noticed was the spice/herbs plants missing. So when we walked in we asked what happen we were surprised.
We then sat down and met our waitress who was nice. We got our bread which changed. So already I'm worried. When we got our bread, it was sliced thin and soft which is ok if the standard wasn't set so high. I've brought no lie, 10 different friends over the years here since discovering this place and used to brag about the bread. Now, the garlic is still good but the pool of oil and soft bread does not go together. So that was sad.
Then we ordered our saganaki which was good. A little burnt for my taste buds but the wife liked it. I've also noticed what people said about the service not being on top of things. So far, as I write this review they're on point. I don't complain about things, however my empty bread tray with no new bread. We never had to usually ask the waiter or waitress would be on top of it.
We then received hummus for the baby to keep her calm and the waitress ordered a dollar pita without telling us until after she served it. Ok, again it's not a big deal.
I tasted the hummus. It was good not spectacular. Lemony which I like. Little grainy not smoot
We then ordered chicken parmesan with lemon soup. In the mean time, we asked for bread a third time as we had not gotten it yet. The waitress, Colleen who was nice finally saw we needed water. She got us water but forgot the lemons the first couple of times.
Before I go any further, let me start by saying the hostess when I asked her about new ownership, stated the cooks and staff are the same.
The lemon soup was ok. There is no way it's the same recipe because I compared pictures from the first time being there and now, and the soup is thicker. My wife said the same thing where she said it was more porridge. I agree with her. I added my usual lemon and a little salt and made it taste better. The after math of left over porridge show a thickener in it for sure probably more starch or flour.
We then got the main dish. The chicken Parmesan and garlic potatoes. Well I must say this is where the let down was considering this was one of the better chicken parms I had. Now, it went down. There is no way you can convince me this is the same chef or chefs. The chicken was dry and stringy. I took pictures to actually show how it looked. I also compared the parm to the parm from the first experience. Again, to have visual proof. The chicken was a let down. The bread crumbs tasted as if burnt and dry. Again, I took pictures to show this. The sauce is different also it's a bit brighter than the original. Cheese which is good was more of it.
The potatoes were good really no complaint there.
We eventually did get the second garlic bread which was still soft and sliced thin. This is a major misstep in this business.
Please look at my previous post to confirm what I am saying.
Overall, this would be a 3 star place as I've given it and I can say the declining reviews is about right as I do notice a difference. I will also state I was a waiter in Los Angeles so I do know about turning tables and cutting costs, but the wait staff was spread out and there wasn't a ton of help at least where we were.
This isn't a review to hurt the business, however to only help as you had a good quality restaurant and it's gone down hill since being owned by Kyle Gs. If this owner Nicole decides to reach out, instead of being offended, take the actual criticism as a way to fix things. Because I can tell you from this experience, I wouldn't drive back the 35 minute drive to come here again. And by reading the reviews of previous customer, I'm thinking, I'm not the only one...

Visible signage from the road led us right to sufficient parking at the plaza; we were greeted right away by the hostess staff upon entry; loved the inviting atmosphere of modern decor mixed with elegant dining with both indoor and outdoor table seating, a bar area, and a private dining option! Our party-of-four was seated on-time for our 5:30p reservation (easily made via Open Table) and we were able to participate in attractive and appealing Happy Hour Specials within the Happy Hour window, which is from Open-6p in the dining room (‘til closing when seated at the bar)! Our server, Julia, gave us a warm greeting, welcomed us as first-timers, highlighted recommendations and specials, was personable and kept us laughing, and answered all our questions with great knowledge of the chef’s dishes! She had a great service support team, too! The menu has many enticing Wines and Signature Cocktails (our selections: Caymus The Walking Fool Red Blend bottle, Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon glass, Smoked Maple Old Fashion, French Passion 75), a varied and numerous selection of Appetizers (our selections: Tuna Tataki, Pork & Shrimp Potstickers); Fresh Catch options and choice of preparation were all tempting (our selections: Salmon, Ahi Tuna Steak and Mahi-Mahi Blackened with Cajun Sauce) as are the additional Chef’s Selections menu items (our selection: Tuna Poke Bowl); they also have Burgers, Sandwiches, Soup and Salads (our selection: Classic Caesar Salad)! Each of our selections were served and displayed with amazing visual plating and everything was cooked to perfection- delicious and flavorful! Dessert was premium perfection, too (our selections: Dark Rum Infused Tiramisu Brownie, Housemade Original Florida Key Lime Pie, Banana Foster Cake- pictured)! Room temperature and sound/volume in the restaurant were both comfortable and our party had such a good time talking, visiting, and eating, that we forgot to take more pictures! The restaurant also offers a 3-Course Dinner Menu, has a Kids Menu and does offer online ordering and gift cards! Planning on attending their upcoming Caymus Wine Dinner Event! They have other events (Lunch Sip & Swirl is coming-up soon), along with weekly Specials: Monday- 2-Course Lobster Dinner, Happy-Tizer Tuesday 50% off apps and wine & champagne bottles, Wednesday- $15 Burger & Brew Special, Thursday- $3 off Martinis $2 Oysters! Absolutely recommend this new restaurant- one of The Kyle G’s Restaurant Family! Can’t wait to return (already know I will be ordering the Salmon Rockefeller which I saw being served to a table close-by!) Five Stars: Inviting! Delicious!...
Read moreAt first glance, this outside of this restaurant is absolutely filthy and neglected that you will want to run away. That is the only reason for my giving 4 stars instead of 5, but DON'T let that stop you from experiencing some of the BEST Italian and Greek food in the area. The food is so delicious, and the service is amazing. Even the bus people have been trained to not touch the top of your water glasses when they serve and pour water and they are so good about packing your leftovers right in front of you. Let's get back to the food, because you aren't going to want to miss out on this for a minute. So, the restaurant was bought from a local family who owns another fabulous restaurant in Stuart called La Forchetta. It was sold because of a death in the family but some of the amazing recipes stayed with the new owners. They make the BEST meat sauce anywhere hands down, and the chicken parm, piccata and Milanese are not only delicious, but they are a work of art. The Greek food is authentic and presented with a "Firey Oppa" if you order the right appetizer. Sadly, there are no belly dancers but don't let that stop you from enjoying it. BTW, there is a full liquor bar and outside dining. Don't forget there's a daily happy hour from 4-5:30 even on Saturday and it includes drink prices at a huge discount. The main menu prices are so reasonable you will not believe you are getting such great quality food. Desserts, oh they are yummy. My only complaint is the baklava is a bit on the thick side instead of having lots of flaky layers. So, get out and try this place soon. You...
