I'm not usually one to leave reviews, much less negative ones, but I was really disappointed with the service of this place. I took my husband and 2 children for a nice lunch today n left feeling rather cheated. It wasn't busy by any means, only 2 other tables. The waitress seemed impatient that I hadn't decided what I wanted in 2 minutes of getting my menu. After we ordered, we got our drinks n then she disappeared. I couldn't even tell you her name since she didn't give us one. All I can think of her as, is the blonde w bright red lipstick.
Our food took about 30 minutes to get to us which was delivered by another waitress. In the time we were waiting, I had to go n ask the bar for another drink since I couldn't find our waitress. The food was fairly good, I had the Dakota Tumbleweed burger and steak fries, those were cold. My kids had the chicken nuggets which I tried n were pretty tasteless n almost rubbery. My husband said his egg burger was ok but his fries were also cold. We had ordered a soup and a salad to eat before our meal came, we never even got those.
It was like the waitress didn't even care we were there. A family of 4 came in after us and had the deluxe treatment I imagine, since 3 different waitresses stopped at their table to constantly refill glasses and ask how their meal was n if they needed anything. Really? I can't even get one waitress to stop n refill my soda! Was there a special password I was supposed to know? I was so upset that our experience didn't end up being the special lunch out I was treating my family to.
Then the waitress comes back after we're done to clear things, didn't ask how it was or if we needed anything else. Nothing. She just grabbed dishes n walked off. Then came back w the check n tried charging me for the soup and salad we never received! I went to the bar and at least the lady behind there was nice about it and apologized (even thought she didn't do it) and removed those charges. I thought spending $55 on a meal would garner better service than that. I usually tip around $10 for a meal like that, but felt so disrespected that I didn't leave anything. Too overpriced for subpar food n terrible service. I honestly will never take my family there again n will not recommend this place for a sit down meal to anyone.
However, if you want to have take out steak tips, that seems to be their specialty. I've never had a...
Read moreFirst of all this place deserves 4.5 Stars to be more accurate but since they don't do halves, oh well. When I usually see places like this I get vibes of it being a place that wants to be a nice restaurant but serves bar food. This is not the case with Loud American Roadhouse! They have a charm being located smack dab in the middle of town which helps add to the aesthetic. The atmosphere is really cool looking like a old western town place with modern amenities. You can sit yourself anywhere you want which is nice. Then the waitress is prompt and courteous to ask for your choice of drinks. They bring them out quite fast, and they give you the time you need for the menu. The menu has a decent assortment of choices, but upon discovery you realize very quickly that this place loves it's steak tips! I ordered some jalapeño poppers, house salad, and steak tip wrap for my meal. The poppers are absolutely to die for! Delicious:) The house salad does its job with a variety of veggies mixed with lettuce nothing more than average, and the wrap was good but not great. The service really shines at this place. The server, and others that come bring out your food are very polite and professional. It helps this place out since the prices for me are a bit higher than what I would like to see, but when you add up the atmosphere, the quality of service, and the good food, I would say that's fair. Overall, this place deserves your time and money, which makes it a great place to invite friends to join you for a splendid evening. Good times await you at Loud American Roadhouse, just make sure not to come there during the Sturgis...
Read moreWent there about a 2 years ago for their "famous" tips and they were awful!! Yesterday was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary (my Dad passed away in February) so my husband and I decided that we would try the Loud American Roadhouse again and took my Mom out to dinner for her anniversary. At first it was going good...ordered our drinks, (total of 4 budweisers and 1strawberry margarita which wasn't very strong) and our food..Mom ordered the largest ribeye dinner, My husband ordered the fajita dinner and I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner. My Mom and I had the salad bar so we went to get our salad and there was just enough salad left for the two of us and trying to see through the plexiglass glass was impossible!! Our dinner came and didn't look too bad until we all started to eat! My mom's ribeye was so small and tough, my husband's fajita meat was extremely dry with no flavor and my chicken fried steak was not even crispy and had a weird taste to it. Then to top it off I asked the waitress if they could give my mom a free desert for her 50th wedding anniversary and the manager told her no that we would have to be a member to get something like that...I was so passed off!! Our bill was $79...paying that price it should of been an amazing dinner but it was AWFUL and they could of given my mom a small free desert for her anniversary for what we spent!!!! We will never go there again...even for a beer during the rally!!!! We will be telling everyone we know about our...
