Oasis Bar & Fireside Lounge — Restaurant in Sturgis

Rally-only review: this used to be my favorite spot, but they keep making it worse. If I remember right, it used to be three little bars, then they knocked holes in the walls so you could move back and forth between them. Then they knocked out entire walls and completely removed the bar from one of the spaces sometime after the 2020 rally. Now it is a hollow barn of a place with no personality. I ordered two drinks and got up sold to "triple doubles" (supposedly a triple for the price of a double). Two drinks, $34! And a "triple" of Windsor? Whatever... I don't think there was any booze in it at all. With all that ice in the cup there shouldn't be room left for anything BUT whiskey, but it tasted like one of the bar-made grenadine-and-Coke "cherry" Cokes that my little girl drinks. Bring back the Nite Owl and the Fireside! I had a way better time at the Knuckle (where, ironically, the old Nite Owl...

We've come here for party's it's been great. Toninighr, tonight was different I've never been treated so rudely in my life I was just asking how much longer it would be before I could do karaoke I already waited 1hr and half after they told me 30 minutes the lady was so rude she told me that she moved me up but now that I asked she's move me back I actually have come to this place often for karaoke I will never come back I've have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life is sad for me to say this. I get during the rally they have to deal with all kinds of ass whole but you signed up for this she told me I work thirteen hr day s I don't have time for this. I work thirteen hour days between school and work every day of my like doesn't make it ok to treat...

What can I say about the Oasis? I really like it. It is a bit younger than me (46), has a slightly rougher edge, is louder than your typical geezer bar, but is generally filled with good people.

It does not have a full kitchen, so don't get loaded and think you will find food here; unless you happen to be there on the days that they have their frozen pizza. I've eaten all types--Totinos to fancy NY thin crust--but their frozen pizza is among my favorites. Don't ask why, just try it. Maybe a couple of drinks prior would be advisable; but I tried mine the following morning after heating in the oven, and still liked it. I'm still taken aback by the frozen pizza.
