My husband and I were in this Coldstone store in Harborview, Suffolk earlier this week and were waited on by two of the most incompetent, rude staff. The creations that we asked for included strawberries. We couldn't get them because the dang strawberries were frozen rock hard. So we changed or altered creations and they didn't even combine/mix them well. When we got home, we placed them in the freezer to harden some more. Tonight we decided to eat some of our creations, but we're so disappointed by the large frozen rock hard bananas and lack of the add-ons we requested!! We feel like we got gyped by these two people!! We've NEVER had anything like this happen as long as we've been going to Coldstone (which is usually every month)!! Plus we always get the Everybody's size!! Also one of these people put too much ice cream on the marble slab and after mixing was going to throw the excess away instead of trying to get it in the carton. This was the ice cream visit from hell! We are elderly and try to treat everyone right and with respect but we don't feel we were given that same respect! I'm going to have to go to another store or file a complaint to corporate. Not happy in the least!! I guess it wasn't our lucky day to visit Coldstone Harborview😡

Read moreWent for ice cream on Sunday, Sept. 17th and waited a very, very long time. When it was my turn to order, I was made to wait 20 minutes while they completed side work. The line grew in size and that didn't seem to bother the tall young lady. The lobby was completely full. Senior citizens who clearly had trouble standing for long periods of time were getting frustrated. I could not figure out if they just didn't want to serve me or they do not care about customer service. Those waffle cone bowls were moved from one side to the next with precision. Not one cone broke!
Customers should come before scraping down the waffle cone maker in my opinion. Selling the product is what earns the money to pay the salaries. If people are leaving because you refuse to serve anyone, the business loses money. On a good note, she cleaned the waffle cone maker very well and there wasn't a crumb in sight. Not one. Trust us, we all watched for 20 solid minutes.
If you are looking for a quick cone, this is not the place. It felt like that Seinfeld episode at the soup counter. You may get served, you may not.
My suggestion is to retrain and better supervise, maybe add a camera or two. I bet your profits would increase by at least 20% based on the number of customers that turned away.

Order is taken, waited 5 mins just for the girl to put gloves on. She starts making my ice cream and it literally took her over 10 mins to put 3 toppings inside of one ice cream. Changed spoons 2 different times putting nasty liquid all over my ice cream twice. Clearly she was new but there was no reason for her to take over 10 mins to make a mine sized ice cream, it literally looked like she was playing with it and the majority of the ice cream was melted by the time she was trying to scoop into the container.
