I came in with my son for a Saturday morning brunch. We were really wanting to go after hearing the reviews. There were two very inexperienced, very young girls who greeted us and sat us down. My son ordered water and I ordered an iced coffee boba🧋She didn't ask me any other questions or tell me how it was gonna come out. When she brought the drink out the coffee was straight bitter and barely any ice in it, no sweetness no milk or cream. Not drinkable at all! It was disgusting. I had to wave several times to get her attention she was in the back and too busy chit-chatting with the other younger girl. She apologized and replaced it with an iced coffee that was more "drinkable, but not delicious" She never stopped by to ask how the reformulated drink was. Nor didn't she give me another boba straw I had to awkwardly sit there and try to get her attention AGAIN. She finally came over with an attitude.
We were the only table in the house. (Later one lady came in by herself) We put our food orders in and waited for our food. The two girls were still nonstop chit-chatting. When the food came I was adding sauce to my noodles and stirring it up with my chopsticks. I found a black hair in my noodles! Staring straight up at me!
I had to once again awkwardly sit there and wait for someone to acknowledge me. They disappeared into the back and I couldn't find anyone. When I told her and showed her the bowl with the hair in it, she apologized and asked if I wanted a replacement meal.
They gave me a replacement. It was fine. At the end I STILL got charged full price my mine and my sons meal. Even with the bad service, the bad atmosphere and the hair in the food. I almost lost my appetite for the entire day because of that.
UPDATE The owner has reached out to me to make it right. I really appreciate it. Thank you! 🙏
UPDATE April 2024 We finally returned back and we met Loc, the friendly and energetic owner. Loc and his staff made sure we were taken care of. We ordered Thai iced tea and it was perfectly balanced. The food was delicious tonight; we all got Korean spare ribs with grilled shrimp and rice. Everything came out perfectly!! Loc even brought us out some Pho broth to go with our rice dishes. Thank you for making everything right and for being so hospitable tonight. We will be back again for more family lunch &...
Read moreFinally made it to this place for lunch with my wife after hearing so many great reviews. The reviews are spot on! The food here is so fresh and healthy and so very, very tasty! The flavors that jump out of the food and give your taste buds such a great ride are tremendous!
It took us a while to decide on what to get because there are so many great choices. We ordered some appetizers to start so we could try to narrow down our main course. I went with the Souper Wings. Very crispy and flavorful. I really loved the garlic and sweet chili sauce on them. My wife went with the Cha Gio which consists of two fried egg rolls with pork shrimp and carrots. So fresh, crispy and full of flavor. Be sure to not overlook the lettuce and pickled daikon and carrots. We always thought of that as garnish, but the owner was kind enough to show us that you wrap the egg rolls with the lettuce and daikon and then dip it in their house sauce. Game changer!!! Crazy delicious!
My wife decided on item C5 Cơm Tôm Nướng, which is marinated grilled shrimp on a bed of rice. She really loved that. I ended up getting the Bánh Mì Heo Nướng sandwich, item S3 on the menu. This is a marinated grilled pork on a soft hoagie-style bun with pickled daikon and carrots and fresh cucumber slices. Not that it needed any enhancements at all, but I added sriracha, because I add that to almost everything! Such a great sandwich.
The staff is "souper" nice and the owner took some time to stop and chat with us. Very nice man and really seems to have a passion for his culinary arts. I cannot wait to go back and work my way around the menu!
Do yourself a favor and try this place! You...
Read moreGone here twice now only for a boba unfortunately (Tiger Cinnamon), both experiences have been inconsistent. I was rather excited the first time i ordered one, as it came a gorgeous deeper orange than the ad suggested. It was overly sweet, sure, but who doesn't love more sugar in this case. Regardless, it was the next time i came where i was truly disappointed. The tea i received had an impressively little amount of syrup in it, the drink practically looked like a regular milk tea; and it certainly tasted like one too! But without the tea! Sure, i’m fine with a wind gust of cinnamon in my milk tea, i can look past that… but when the boba pearls are smaller than the size of peas, it hard to look past the inconsistency at this place. Some even had an unsettling crumbly texture, while the full sized ones somehow had a soggy consistency. Its just atrocious to receive that, even after graciously tipping 25% both visits. My first try made me hold out a little hope at possibly stopping by to get boba at this place occasionally, i found the tiger cinnamon to be very good actually, when its made right. Alas, after my second visit, I'm confident in saying that I'm no longer convinced on stopping by to spend 10 dollars a visit on this place just to have inconsistent, and in my last case outright off putting results. Its sad to say that domishii has more consistency than this place when it comes to boba, they always seem to get the sweetness just right
Edit : went back two months later and got a remake, was fantastic. Owner and staff were understanding and accommodating, worth...
