Cashier was super friendly. Very helpful and a great listener to what I was looking for. My first experience quickly went downhill. After ordering I went to wait outside due to our current covid situation in our area. While outside, I decided to walk behind the restaurant and grab a bottle from Specs. While walking I came a cross the manager or owner unloading frozen tilapia boxes from like Sam's club or Costco out of his car. I quickly returned to the restaurant to let them know that if they hadn't started my order I'd like to cancel. I discreetly let the young man know what I saw. Then the guy from outside approached the plexiglass with his chest all puffed up and glaring at me in efforts of intimidating me. When I told him that I didn't want frozen food if it hadn't been started. He is furious and tells me all restaurants are that way. That some even just throw it in the microwave. He said we don't raise and kill our own chickens either. He is aggressively opening his wallet then the drawer to return PART of my payment. He wanted my receipt back too but I previously had declined it. I had no idea what my total was. He slams my money on the counter. I take it and on my way home I looked at my bank account. Read moreSo the food is great.. always. I'm not even sure what happened to the service today. I ordered through the uber eats app. I ordered two fish and shrimp. One medium, that I paid more for, and one small. I placed the order and when uber showed up, I realized that we had two smalls. I also realized that we didn't receive all of our sides. We were short a side of jambalaya rice. So I called them and they told me that I could come in and pick up my pieces of fish and shrimp and my side. I explained to them that the entire reason I ordered from uber and paid the fee is because I cannot leave work. I am the manager on duty at a memory care community and have to stay on site. So they told me that I could come after work and pick up what I'm missing. Umm what? I'm not going to drive to a restaurant to pick up two pieces of fish and two shrimp after I had my food five hours earlier. So then they said to call uber to have them reimburse me. It's not Uber's mistake to handle. Needless to say I just said thanks anyway and hung up. What ever happened to offering a credit for the store or a $10 gift card? Something to make it right. I can go a week without their grilled seasoned fish. They also have a blackened fish which is cooked to perfection. They also have crawfish etouffee, shrimp etouffee, shrimp creole, shrimp jambalaya, shrimp Alfredo pasta, chicken Alfredo pasta, and Cajun pasta. Their customer service is always friendly. They always greet you with a smile and will help you order if it’s your first time. They also have some great sides such as mixed mixed vegetables, jambalaya rice, green beans, french fries, hush puppies, onion rings, coleslaw, green salad, Caesar salad, and a baked potato.
