I recently visited The Koache Factory on Hwy6S in Sugarlandwith the intention of using a valid coupon clearly advertised and within the stated terms. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Despite the coupon being current and meeting all the listed conditions, the staff member refused to honor it. I can understand the 'no egg product' with coupon policy; however; the situation was made worse was the disrespectful attitude of this one female employee who seemed more interested in inventing new, ounwritten rules on the spot than actually helping resolve the issue. I was told the coupon didn’t apply towards the flavor of the month, the cheeseburger kolache, as it was "too expensive." No such restriction was printed anywhere, nor could it be explained in a consistent or reasonable manner.
A business has every right to set terms for promotions—but when those terms are not honored or are arbitrarily changed by staff, it reflects poorly on the company as a whole. This kind of bait-and-switch behavior erodes customer trust and guarantees there are other establishments in Sugarland where respectful service can be had.
I would strongly encourage management to either clarify their policies publicly or ensure their employees are properly trained to honor promotions as advertised in a...
Read morewe placed our first order from the kolache factory this past sunday for a pickup. once we came home (we live literally less than 5 mins from the location) the food was COLD! it had no hint of warmth whatsoever. i was highly disappointed with the service. i mean you spend money on the food just for it to be so cold that the flavor of the food starts lacking. i ordered the cream cheese, italian, beef kolache, philly steak, & the potatoes with egg. they were pretty decent. except them being so cold. i don’t like how when ordering online, it does not give you a choice to pick your own flavor of muffin. we added a drink to our order, it did not give an option to pick apple or orange juice. i put apple juice in the option box to see if it’ll work, it did not. they gave us orange instead. now i’m skeptical about ordering here in this location, not sure if it is the...
Read moreWhat are kolaches? Well, they are the Eastern European answer to dumplings. Soft, white bread (slightly sweet) encloses and variety of sweet and savory fillings. I highly recommend the ranchero kolache, but I have had the bacon, egg and cheese; philly cheese steak; pizza; jalapeno popper (not too spicy). But the most surprising of all was the brisket! Delicious!
Laid out like an old donut shop (when I add the photos, you'll see what I mean), the friendly staff are efficient, prompt, and helpful. It's a go-to place for office snacks or a quick breakfast. Just be sure that you meet your kolache craving before 2 pm--because they're...
