I’ve driven past this coffee shop hundreds of times over the past few years without paying much attention to it. A few months ago, in a pinch, I stopped in to grab an espresso for the first time. As soon as I opened the door, I was surprised by the ambiance of this quaint little coffee shop. It is tucked into an average looking shopping center, and my expectations were low, especially since I have visited hundreds of coffee shops around the country. Since that first visit, Day 6 Coffee has become a Sunday staple. It has exceeded every expectation. The espresso here is rich, bold, strong, chocolatey, and most importantly consistent. I am not sure where they source their beans or how they are roasted, but the flavor makes it clear that someone put a lot of thought and intention into their craft. On top of that, the people and service are always consistent, friendly, inviting, and accommodating, especially when I bring my little ones. They have games and books you can just grab off the wall, and there is even a low lit back room with comfy chairs, a couch, and a mantle with a digital fireplace. It is cozy and welcoming. The food is fantastic as well. So far, I have tried multiple tacos, kolaches, and pastries, all of which were much better than you would expect from a coffee focused spot. Again, you can tell everything here is done with intention and with great attention to the customer experience. All of this is wrapped up with surprisingly reasonable prices. If you are in the area and looking for great coffee, excellent service, and a cool ambiance without feeling like the place is taking your wallet for a ride, I highly recommend Day 6 Coffee.

We were in town for a wrestling tournament and needed a spot to chill and burn some time and found this spot on Google.. looked at the reviews and they had me at taro latte.. So anyway, we went in and asked for the taro latte, I was then asked if I wanted a shot of espresso in it.. I was confused because I thought lattes do have espresso in it already.. so I asked how they made theirs and the lady upfront explained.. still confused, but I said sure.. I'll get a shot in my taro latte.. my bf ordered a chai tea latte and was asked the same about adding espresso.. he said no.. we wanted to try their peach cobbler muffin, so we got one to share.. Here's the verdict: Our lattes were good and the muffin was delicious.. taro flavor was there so I was pleased.. chai, probably the best one we've had thus far! Kudos.. Besides the whole espresso thing, this place was nice and cozy.. vibe was nice and the workers were pretty cool too.. we visited this past Sunday and there was a lady upfront who took the orders and a dude with dreads? came out from the back and I believe he made our lattes.. they were both friendly and pleasant so I want to make sure they get the recognition they deserve..

Easily one of my favorite coffee shops! Drinks/Food: My favorite part is the consistency of every drink made. I love their matcha here, it’s never bitter & great milk-matcha-syrup ratios. I personally ask for extra ice to make it more refreshing! Any of their food options are great with my favorites being their breakfast croissants and blueberry muffins. If you want anything for here, they provide a plate for food and mug for hot drinks! Seating: The environment is very cozy with regular tables in the front and couches in the back area. If you want to enjoy some fresh air, there are tables and benches right outside the entrance too. The entire place is wheelchair and stroller accessible! Other: Lots of parking and a super safe area even at night. They also do online orders through their website. I wouldn’t bring small kids that run around because everyone here is working or having small chatter, please be respectful to others! So whether you’re looking to catch up with a friend or get some homework/work done, this is the place for you!

TLDR: It's meh, I would steer away given the cleanliness issue alone.

Perhaps the other location downtown is much better, but I feel like the sugarland one was a bit more generic and if I'm honest, average.

My gf and I came here for a work/study date and started off with a matcha latte and a chai cinnamon latte. The chai was great, sweet and good chai flavor, 8/10. The matcha however was terrible. it was overly sweet and had no presence of matcha (real matcha that is, not green tea). Tasted artificial and lacked body, 2/10. The service however was great and the baristas were accommodating, just unfortunately you can't go beyond if the quality of your products are not up to snuff. What made it worst was the price, charging nearly $7, you'd expect to have a halfway decent matcha latte, but I feel even starbucks "matcha" latte has more flavor than it.

We also ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a sausage kolache. Value wise, it was average, bit more than I expected for the quality, but it was average. The kolache was cold, bit dry and bit too much gristle in the sausage. Sandwich was just average, nothing special.

The atmosphere was kinda cool, a bistro/moody cigar lounge in the back or a cozy backlands manor type of vibe. The real issue was we had baby roaches in our area which already tells me what I need to know...

First time to visit and it was a huge miss. 3 workers behind the counter that seemed scattered brain. Took forever to get our order in. They do not do things orderly. We walked in to being next in line and we ended up being fourth 🙃. Took 2 people just to take 1 ladies order. Next a 3rd worker comes to the counter to assist girls that were already sitting at a table that were brought to the front of the line. The guy that took our order seemed to be over whelmed and couldn't get my change together. After we ordered and paid they tell us their out of one of the lattes we ordered so they offered a matcha latte. Our drinks came out and the same guy who took our order took them to the other side of the shop, like we were right there in front. Then they did not make our matcha latte correctly because one of the workers tells another you forgot something. Everything was just all over the place. The matcha latte was gross😝. Tasted nothing like matcha. Tasted like creamer and a lot of sugar that we didn't ask for. Couldn't even tast the espresso shot we asked for and must not be of good quality. I regret spending $15 here on 2 drinks. I would never recommend this place or come back. Such a big...
