Red Circle Ice Cream & Churros — Restaurant in Sugar Land

I went in thinking this would be a 1 time visit, just to give it a try. I figured I'd eat the best bits and toss the rest. No tossing here, it was excellent! Churros have never been on my radar, I'd never had a churro that was anything above carnival grade. I got what they call the Frosty Churro, soft serve w/ a churro on top, dulce topping and churro. What it the heck did they do to that churro, flipping amazing, and I figured the soft serve type ice cream would just be ok, but somehow the toppings make it amazing as well. Yep, we'll be back, quickly. The atmosphere is the typical Sugar Land thrown together vibe, 0.0% savvy interior here, as an interior decorator, I cringe at most of the places that pop up in Sugar Land, the Sugar Land aesthetic wouldn't fly in design savvy towns. They could definitely make the ordering process easier w/ some sort of clearer photo menu, thankfully I'd saved a pic on my phone to show the cashier. By the second visit you'd have a better understanding of what you're ordering, but the first visit is confusing. If you're taking kids, they'll likely be a hot mess afterwards, somehow this stuff spills out everywhere. Like reported on other reviews, the pricing isn't clear, your price ends up a bit higher, I could give 2 hoots less what they charge for that deliciousness, but I can see where a family taking a lot of people might not like not being told of upcharges. Recently read about the crawfish ice cream, and I was intrigued, but I wasn’t about to make the drive just for the is novelty.

To my delight and surprise, I ended up right around the corner from this Hwy 6 location, so my family and I stopped in.

The crawfish ice cream wasn’t for me, admittedly, but it was still neat to try. Spicy and creamy, all the sweetness, basically everything but the briney buttery meat. So wild.

I got the OG soft serve and churro, and it was fantastic. My son got some ice cream and an Oreo churro.

Both were delicious. Only two things that make it a 4 instead of a 5. The service was lackluster, and the prices were pretty high. The young lady behind the calendar was on her phone so much that one of her peers clapped at her to wake up and pay attention as churros were making their way out of the kitchen. I got second hand embarrassment from watching her get clapped at haha. This is pretty minor.

The $20 price tag for two ice creams was the bigger issue for me. I’d still advise folks to try it at least...

I should have known they were not going get my order right, the first thing I see two girls one in her cell and the other literally laying her head in the counter like it’s nap time. Go ahead and place my order I ask the girl for the large size churro with Nutella told her I wanted 4 she tells me we have the in a 5 piece box I said ok give me the 5 I pay for it , wait a little bit and a girl comes out with 2 small boxes I’m like ok thanks get in my car and realize they are mini churros go back inside and tell the the order is wrong and they look at me well that’s what you ordered no no no these boxes contained 10 mini churros why , I didn’t ask for minis I wanted large churros they seamed confused. They called the cook over and again said theirs is what you ordered mam , I didn’t want to argue with them they were not understanding what the issue was so I just left. Never...
