The best STUDYING PLACE! This is going be long because I'm the type of reviewer that explains in-depth information about each store, restaurant or place.
This Teahouse location is one my top studying places to study with. You're always greeted with awesome employees who express with their quality of customer service as well as their optimistic vibe they all have. These employees has always made drinks into my satisfaction and I have always been satisfied with my drinks I've order. They also sell munchies (study snacks or snacks in general), such as popcorn chicken (Spicy or non-spicy), fried fishball or is squid (I think), sweet potato fries and they also sell chips or cookies on the counter. It's very convenient because they have varies of snacks of your choice.
The studying areas. I've been going to this Teahouse location more than other Teahouses such as the ones nearby Rice or Bellaire. To be honest, I favor Teahouse over KungFuTea and TeaBar as others can have opinions that I may be crazy but the way they make their boba teas, slushies, smoothies or their freshly brew tea which is just perfect! (Not too sweet nor not too bitter) You can always adjust the sweetness within your drinks. Not only Teahouse serve the best drinks, it has a reward program! So I think after 30+ points you get a free drink. Which is kind of easy for me since I come here almost everyday haha. Ever since this Teahouse opened, there used to be only two areas to study within. There was the outside patio and the inside room when you walked in to order. A few years ago this Teahouse location added an addition room for students, a general area to study with friends or to hang out friends (Which is me sometimes when I choose to procrastinate).
Not sure why others are giving this place such a low rating...because yes, the employee may be slow or did not make your drink into your satisfaction. However, these employees could be new and less experience and over time these employees will make the best drinks in a few months after experience. I know this because, I used to be in that place (Was working in restaurant and retail but, now in a corporation.) Whereas things were new to me working in retail, an employee in a drinks or restaurant environments. Please give these employees a chance to grow with experience if they are new. Don't criticize them because you were probably in the same boat as them when you were starting in a new work...
Read moreI come here all the time, and I only use my free drinks when I really need to - being a broke college student. I have never had an issue with this in the many many years I've been coming here. I loved the place so much that I even worked here for a little. Today I walked in, ready to use my free drink, and instead it said I qualified for $15 off $100 catering. It has never shown me that before, and when I asked the employee (who was very sweet), she asked around and they said they got a new system that does that once you surpass a certain amount of drinks. I said that I never knew that and they said they didn't know it either. How are the workers that use this every day not going to know about their own POS system changing? It was crazy how the staff looked as confused as I was when seeing the offer on my screen. I asked if there was a way I could still get free drinks, as I spent a LOT of money to get those free drinks. And a lot of the employees know how often I come there, as they still know me by name and take my order when I get there. Obviously, if I had spent enough to do the $15 off my $100 catering, then I had MANY free drinks to use, but instead it changed it to some stupid catering "offer." Every person who comes in can utilize a free drink, but not every person will use catering. Isn't it common sense that if I reach the highest level of "awards" I should have free drinks? The lady even said that the new thing is that if you surpass 5 free drinks, then it turns into that. So it's CLEAR and OBVIOUS that I had those free drinks, otherwise why would I get the offer. Even upon bringing this up and one of the male employees said no, he basically just shrugged it off and it felt as if he was saying, "That's not my problem." Well it is, if the company can't inform their employees about the new system AND they can't realize that 5 free drinks into another offer is STILL five free drinks! I have never heard of a place where your free drinks get taken away after a certain amount....
Read moreThis is the first teahouse I found after moving to the area. And it's still one of my favorites. Their Thai Milk Tea is very good; it's not too sweet with just the right creaminess. Their beverages also come in much bigger cups than the ones you get from the other teahouses, and yet you pay a lower price. You can also customize your drink (its sweetness, amount of ice, etc). The beverages have machine-sealed tops so there are no spills. As for the dining area, they have an overflow section so there's more room to study or do computer work. The decor and seats are a little dated, but overall are still comfortable and the tables are spacious. They have free wifi. Restrooms are most of the time clean. They have just 2 workers all the time, so if it gets busy, you’ll have to wait though not too long. Parking is not a problem. Sign up for their rewards so you earn points and free drinks. Update on 8/13/18: Came by for Thai Milk Tea and they still have one of the best I’ve tasted. And this time, I tried it with grass jelly, but found the grass jelly with a bit of bitterness. Glass on the front door had smudges from the day before, which was not cleaned. Rating for their beverages is 5⭐️, but cleanliness only gets 3⭐️ so I gave them just 4...
