I go to Sugar Land every once in a while and have tried many boba shops there and enjoyed them. In Bellaire, I visited R&B Tea and had a great experience; I loved the drinks and the staff were very nice and bubbly. But at this Sugar Land location, my experience was the opposite. Upon walking in, I already felt unwelcomed. Walking up to the cashier, I wasn’t greeted with anything. I began to place my order, and I asked if it was possible they do something specific with my drink. The worker, Christine, just looked at me funny and kept saying, “What? I don’t know what you’re talking about,” then with an attitude said, “No. We can’t do that.” I began to pay and I guess it then processed in her mind what she said, and she just goes, “Oh. I thought you said something else.” Then I smiled and told her it was okay but she just kept looking at me with a stone cold stare and I’ve never felt so judged by anyone ever in my life. I told her thank you, and she just stared at me with no response as I walked away. The other young man was nicer, but I didn’t get a smile out of either one of them. I thought it was just me, but my friend who came a little after me told me that they were also really rude to him. You can really tell that they were just high schoolers there for the check, which is understandable, but at least pretend to be polite. Looking at the other reviews, I was surprised they had something nice to say about the staff, so I’m not sure why they were acting like that on this day. The drinks were okay, not as strong as I’d like, but that doesn’t make up for the...

Worst experience of any tea house ever! Very very rude lady who was there at the reception I don’t know her name but she was a bit taller than the other one we were there at 3-3.30. She was racist as hell! She even refused to give us ice on the side. Was rolling eyes and making weird faces. She said she’s gonna charge us for ice . I said that i just need it as it was room temperature so that the drink may cool down a bit it was very room temperature. I didn’t want ice in the drink because it makes the drink watery. That’s why i asked for the ice on the side. She said I’m gonna charge u 60c. I was like what?? Then i just gave her 60c & she still refused saying that we don’t accept cash. I was again like what? I mean. She was a hater for real, i could see that in her behavior. She said sYsTeM wOn’t all0w me?!!! I told her my card isn’t working so? She said u need to bring back ur tea & then I’ll add ice. I told her I wanted it separately like y would u give ur half drunk tea to someone??!! Then she kept arguing and literally made it seem like i was begging?! Then she said oKk ima give u a small cup and she literally gave me a super mini cup after arguing and disrespecting me. To the owner, please fire employees like that they’re making ur ratings come down by giving bad experiences to customers. Worst 15 bucks i...

OK IM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS PLACE. As a milktea addict (who isn't?), I am very serious about my milktea fix and constantly searching for a good milktea without damaging my wallet too much and finally this is it.

There are two things that make R&B a good tea place for me: 1) the tea was fresh, some place would brew a batch of tea and let it sit out too long so it would become oxidized and disintegrated. But r&b seem to brew their tea often and it was fresh, not too astringent and brisk and no lingering bitterness. 2) milk - They aren't skimming on the milk/cream , so you could feel the thickness of the milk when combining with tea, and it makes a heavenly mouthful of sweetness. These two sounds simple enough, but a lot of milk tea places miss the mark!

I ordered Jasmine milk tea with sea cream and it was exactly what i needed - strong flavor of tea and a creamy mouthful of milk. Finally I can have a nearby milktea shop to satisfy my addiction.

Their cups are very cute too, and it will make for a good picture for the gram if you're into that sort of thing.

The store and small and cute, but have enough chairs and table for some fun hangout.

They just opened recently and are currently running a promotion for...

Cute decor boba shop with a self-service kiosk which is nice to have if the line is slow at the counter. Staff were friendly, patient, and courteous. I ordered the Haiwaiian Fruit Green Tea which is the shop’s top seller. Indeed it was good. The fruits were infused with the green tea which made the drink refreshing and irresistible. I also had the Honey Black Milk Tea, and Taro Stormy. The milk tea was good. I could taste the tea which was yummy. As for the Taro Stormy, it was just ok. There was supposed to be their house cream, which is like cheese foam, blended into the drink. I couldn’t taste the cheese foam. Only the distinct powder taro and milk were present. They have a good rewards program unlike other boba shop. The cashback will attract more customers because of the instant discount each order made. I also like the idea of having one-size drink. It makes ordering easier. Will come back for more.

Nice to have another solid boba option in Sugar Land. Staff was nice and friendly. They have a kiosk to order from, but I personally like ordering from an actual person. It was very quiet on a weekday evening. The space is fairly small, so I imagine on a busier day it would be hard to find seats for a larger party, or a good study spot if you wanted a place to park for the whole day. We tried the Hokkaido oolong milk tea with boba and it was pretty good. Will go back to try other options!
