I recently tried the Bonfire Bowl with Grilled Salmon at Torchy’s Tacos (Sugar Land location), and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. This dish was far more than just a “healthy option” — it was thoughtfully crafted, full of bold flavors, and incredibly satisfying. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection — tender, flaky, and lightly charred for a subtle smoky flavor. It was served over a fresh base of cilantro lime rice and black beans, and topped with a vibrant mix of spinach, diced mango, pickled onions and jalapeños, pistachios, and a smooth, flavorful avocado sauce. Each ingredient played a role in creating a balanced bowl that was sweet, savory, spicy, and crunchy all at once. Portion-wise, it was generous without being overly heavy — just the right amount for a filling, energizing meal. It’s a refreshing alternative to tacos while still delivering the bold, signature flavors Torchy’s is known for. Adding to the great experience, the staff at the Sugar Land location are consistently friendly and attentive. They always check in with a smile and are happy to offer extra sauces to suit your preferences — small touches that make the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, the Bonfire Bowl with salmon is a standout menu item that deserves more attention. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for something fresh, flavorful, and a bit different. I’ll definitely be ordering it again — and recommending it to others!

I’ll be honest—going to a non-Mexican spot for tacos felt borderline blasphemous… until I walked into Torchy’s. The moment I stepped inside, the scent of melted cheese and spicy dip from a nearby table hit me like a flavor prophecy. I was hooked before I even sat down. These tacos? They’re not just food—they’re wild, delicious science experiments that shouldn’t work… but somehow do, brilliantly. “Damn good tacos” doesn’t even begin to cover it. They’re big, bold, and packed with flavor—hearty enough to satisfy any craving without compromising on creativity. And the vibe? Unmatched. Chill, lively, and welcoming—especially thanks to Nessa, who made the experience even better with top-tier service. I’ve already been back a few times this week, and yes, I’m proudly riding the Torchy’s Rewards wave. Their burritos? Monsters—in the best way. Chips and queso? Absolutely yes. Honestly, Torchys has flipped the script on what I thought tacos could be.

Had a really good meal here. Nice atmosphere. Great assortment of salsas. You have to request the salsa which is a little about since I like to see them when I'm deciding...they really should add a salsa bar. We ordered the street corn which was really good however I would scale back a little on all the additions... Just a little less of all so that the corn itself comes thru. We also got the queso with chorizo..OMG... So good! The chorizo makes it! As for the tacos we had the green Chile pork and the barbacoa. So the barbacoa was decent, but a little dry. If you've eaten legit barbacoa you know it's usually a lot more fatty. It's a Sunday morning staple in most Mexican households. The flavor was decent, but I probably won't order again. The green Chile pork on the other hand is phenomenal! The pork is tender juicy and soooo flavorful. This is definitely the standout! All in all I recommend trying Torchy's... I'll be going back.

I have been going to this restaurant for years now. I’ve never had a negative experience with customer service until today, by a manager no less. I had to order using DoorDash today, as my car is in the shop. When I received my order I find a whole order of queso and chips missing from my bag. I call Torchys right away to let them know about my issue to see what we can get worked out. This man told me that there’s nothing he could do to help and that I needed to take it up with DoorDash because it’s not their problem. He also said he would be willing to have it re made and I can go pick it up. Had I had the option to drive to the restaurant I wouldn’t have wasted a extra $10 ordering for delivery. So unfortunately, I can not go pick up the queso, even though he assumed it would be that easy for me. Now I understand that this person was most likely limited on the help they could offer, and that’s not his fault per say. However, his tone said everything about how he was feeling about my complaint. Very monotoned, unemotional and somewhat annoyed. Never offered an apology because he wouldn’t claim responsibility for the missing items. That conversation would have went a whole different way had he just been kind and showed me he is capable of good customer service. I managed in customer service and retail for many years, so I know what to expect when I have an issue. I will not support this establishment ever again. Today, Torchy’s in Sugar Land lost a...

Disappointing Experience with Poor Service

First and foremost, there was a lack of communication regarding the restaurant's closing time and the dining restrictions after hours. Our order was placed at 9:40 pm, with no mention from any of the staff members including manager that the restaurant closes at 10:00 pm. It was disheartening when one server abruptly informed us, with a tone that suggested urgency, that we needed to finish our food and leave before 10:00 pm.

To add to the frustration, our food didn't arrive until exactly 10:00 pm. Another server then reiterated the closing time, as if it was our fault for not rushing through our meal. It felt unreasonable and uncomfortable to be rushed and expected to finish our food quickly.

When I approached the manager to express my concerns, I was met with an argument. The manager claimed to have heard the staff discussing the closing time policy, but stated that they allow dine-in customers if the order is placed before 10:00 pm. This information was never conveyed to us, and the entire staff, including the manager, displayed rudeness throughout our interaction.

Overall, this was the worst service I have ever experienced. The lack of communication, the rushed atmosphere, and the rude behavior of the entire staff, including the manager, left a lasting negative impression. I hope that the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their customer service and...
