Sorry this is so long. But i am So very thankful for Omar and the other employee for helping my family. We got a flat tire unexpectedly while already having the worst day. We are having a lot of trouble with finances. So we took our 3 kids to sell some DVDs for some cash at half price books across the street. And when we got our flat tire we pulled into the nearest parking lot which was wings n things. We called my husbands mother and she came to help. Well...we bent her car jack... we called all the friends we knew. we put a post on fb with no luck. i end up calling my dad fom manvel but It was gonna take an hr for him to get to us.. me, my husband, my 3 kids, 6 and under and my mother n law were just sitting on their curb right in front of the pick up order window. I went in for some water for my kids and they gave me some with no problem. Omar, not sure if hes the manger or just employee but he asked what was wrong. REMIND U the astros was playing a very important world serious game! Omar didnt care he immeatedly came outside when i told him i had a flat. He looked at the damage on our car (our front bumper caved in from bending the car jack) he asked another employee for a jack. Thank god he had one. And in his nice dress shoes and dress pants both the employees where on the ground trying to lift and assist our car! I felt so bad but i was so thankful. Some how that jack stopped working and thankfully someone else had a jack! He lifted it finally, and took off our tire and he put the spare on. Tighten the (lug nuts? Not sure what they are called lol i probably look dumb oh well) he put our bad tire in the trunk and even pulled our bumper back new again! He didnt care about his nice clothes. He didnt care about the world series playing the best game of HISTORY. The only thing he said was "Next time u just gotta ask, we will always help." I wish i had money to buy him something. I've never had someone help us like this before so idk how to thank him. I am so broke all i can do is show his kindness on reviews and hopefully the right person will see. I am so thankful for these guys. We would have been there for so much longer my poor kids were so hungry but behaved like champs. This place is great. I have been coming here since i was probably 10 years old (im 26 now) its my moms favorite place. Id recommend coming here. Service is great and the food is great as well and beer is cheap and good! Thank u so much Omar!! I hope god blesses u in...
Read moreI wasn’t going to write this but, you’ll read and hopefully see my point of view.
My family and I have been coming here for years, and even though there are reservations about their food and service, we’ve continued to come,… until today.
When they read this, they’ll know the visit. So here goes…
I had recently came by to order food to go, I always order the same , all drums on my meals. I have even suggested in the past that I didn’t mind paying extra for all drums. I was even told on my last visit, “don’t worry, we will never have you pay extra”. So, awesome right?!
Well, today I went by there to order again, and this time I’m told (by someone different) sorry we don’t allow all drums. I couldn’t even finish my explanation about ordering last week, and she again says, we have done that since last year. So I said don’t worry, I’ll talk to the gentleman that helped me last time.
So I continued to go outside to talk to him, well, he got pulled away before I could talk to him, yes, by her. I didn’t get a chance to talk to him, instead she came to the window as to say, go ahead and try to order. The thing that made me more upset was that they started talking in Spanish, mind you, I’m Mexican and I can hear and understand you. He was basically explaining to her, “it’s up to you, whatever you want to do, offer him 3 flats etc”. Again, I’m just standing there outside waiting, I finally just gave in and said, you know what don’t worry about it, it’s ok.
Queria decir que me disculparan las molestia, because that’s how you made me feel, like I was bothering you,...
Read moreI just recently visited this place for my second time during a brief work break. I’m a white guy working a glorified janitorial job at a church. I don’t speak Spanish. I walked in, seated myself, and was very polite.
I ordered a simple 4 wings and two tender basket (I highly recommend the mango habanero sauce for tenders).
Here is the problem:
I got a phony bill that WAS mine. It had my name on in and everything with the tip option. It was for $20.16 or so when in only costs $15 if you and include the Diet Coke I ordered. When I asked the server about it (who was sitting around flirting with the cashier laughing the whole time) he told me, “Oh, I was wondering about that too.” This was after they had been talking and laughing the whole time I was waiting on my order and had given my card to pay (I had to be back at work so have my card as soon as I ordered).
Nonsense. I was being exploited. Luckily I caught it. I don’t appreciate that kind of treatment just because I was being perceived that I would just take it or “could afford it”.
I love how this establishment has been around for a long time and how there is a diverse customer base, but stop extorting people. I still tipped...
