WOW! Arby's has sure come a long way! I worked in one when I was a teen and don't ask my age let's just say I have to hide the nasty grays now, lol. This was back when the roast beef was on spits and the meat was carved off. It was great but, NOW? OMG, there are so many sandwiches to choose from it's hard to decide. My first love will always be the original Arby's roast beef sandwich with the horsey sauce but I finally branched out and discovered the Ruben which I now suffer from withdrawal for. I love marbled rye anyway but then add the corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese which is nicely melted and who can forget the Thousand Island dressing....DEELISH! One thing I just learned from a staff member was that the Rueban was fashioned after the ones in New York! Who knew? I have also had the distinct pleasure of inhaling what they call a "Loaded Italian" and this I had to write down because I didn't want to forget everything that is on it. I am Italian incidentally so this is important stuff to me. Ok, there is smoked ham, pepperoni, salami, melted Swiss cheese (between you and me) I wish it was provolone but I guess I could have asked if I could have had it...next time...... then there were banana peppers which are SO good because they pack virtually no heat, are full of juice, then the usual suspects, lettuce, onion, red onion that is, tomato a red wine vinaigrette and a really good garlic aioli . It is of course on an Italian roll, toasted, of course again. sooo good....ummmmmm so good! Another fav is the French Dip with what else? Swiss cheese! It's fun because it is served on an Italian roll so you've got Italian and French all in one. When you dip the sandwich in the French au jus it's as they say, Manufique! a party in my mouth! Sandwiches are but a small part of the menu as they have great salads. The Pecan Chicken Salad is in a sandwich and is truly deelish. They also have a kids menu. So much food, so little time.....gota go, I am heading out to try the Crispy Chicken Farmhouse Salad that has crispy chicken in it, duh, hence the name but it has a whole layer of bacon!!! It also has the usual suspects of lettuce, tomato,...
Read moreIt's lunch time, and you're hungry for that special something that only Arby's can serve. I would advise you to pass this one and find another.
I imagine the food is the same, but the wait time here is long enough to have you travel the extra distance AND eat your meal. With four (4) customers ahead of me who had placed orders and paid, my wait time was 22 minutes from the time I realized I had been waiting too long.
The two people who walked in after me waited about three minutes each and walked out.
Perhaps my order, a salad with chicken on top, was unusual for the king of roast beef to fulfill. After all, I was there filling am order for someone else. If I hadn't been able to read the menu behind the cashier, I would have been convinced the only made chicken salad wraps. When I pointed to the sign offering side and "fresh featured" salads, he gasped with amazement, "Oh!"
Ten minutes into my prolonged wait, I noticed a cooler behind the counter. The manager was coming around the corner and was greeted with my pained expression. She asked if she could help. "Are those your featured salads in the cooler", I asked. She assured me they were. So, why have I waited ten minutes more than I should have needed to wait for a salad that is sitting in the cooler?
"We have to make the chicken", came her reply. I'm wondering how powerful God is to have made the whole world in six days, because what she meant was cook the chicken. I'd still be waiting for her to make one.
If you read this far, I hope you get the chuckle. Service was incredibly horrible. People really do make...
Read moreJust went there last night. We were low on money as my husband only recently found employment, so we used a lot of coupons. We brought our 3 kids. They gave us our coupons back so we could use them again. We were msking our younger kids share a drink, but they gave our 6 year old a free drink. Before we left, our 6 year old asked if they had any more mints. (They usually have some out). They did not, but offered him a free shake instead and gave one to our 11 year old as well. I've rarely been so blessed. The staff was so friendly. They kept checking on us. The food was very good, warm, fresh, and plentiful. The place was clean. We were very impressed. I encourage all to give them their business. It's very rare for a fast food restaurant to rate so high in friendliness, service, and...
