Wait time was horrible, prices are high. Waited close to an hour for a breakfast meal that should have taken 15 mins, and other patrons that came in after us got served first.
When the owner came in, we talked to her, and she sided with the restaurant saying that there were "a bunch of other tickets up"
Furthermore, the food wasn't THAT good. At best it was average. I could have made a better meal at home for cheaper. It wasn't worth the $8.99 that I paid for it.
Update 11/2/22: After Reading the response left to my review, and dealing with the nasty comment you made to my mother, I will be updating my review to 1 star, and I will never recommend your restaurant again, as a matter of fact, I will be actively telling people to avoid it. I may even go to the media.
One particular comment that erked me in your response was about the cook. First, you should be serving tickets in the order that they are taken, not the order they brought to the kitchen. If your policy makes people who order first wait on other people's food, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
I did not wish to take it this far, and one review didn't hurt your restaurant THAT bad. One customer isn't going to hurt your wallet. But you chose to come into my mother's place of work and be rude about it in front of other patrons. Talk about petty.
You seem to only want to hear the good reviews. But I hope many people see this one. DO...
Read moreAfter seeing the reviews and word of mouth about how good the CFS was we decided to go down and have CFS & eggs Friday morn. The first thing that we noticed is how you are allowed only one refill of coffee. It is stated that on the menu. The second thing was the flies. Where in the heck were they coming from? And they were relentless. I counted 6 flies at one time on the table next to us and they just kept swarming around. They brought us our food, and was surprised to see how small the CFS was. At first I thought it was a small hamburger pattie. Then we tried it. Awful!! It was nothing but a small cubed steak with a little dusting of flour. NO batter at all, no seasonings, and overcooked. The gravy tasted like they took premade powdered gravy and added sausage grease to it. The only thing that I can recommend was the biscuits. After asking why they only allowed one refill of coffee, we were told that it was a mistake and refills were free. they seriously need to do something about the flies and fire the cook. If you can't cook scrambled eggs without scorching them, you don't need to be cooking at a cafe. We will not...
Read moreYa know, sometimes you find a gem when you least expect it. Pioneer Cafe is one of those places....this place is fantastic for anyone looking for good food, good people, and a full belly, without emptying your full wallet. This is hometown country cooking at its finest....everything is cooked to order, no heat lamps here, the omelets were huge and full of everything you ask for in it, they don't scrimp on food. The breakfast burritos are also huge and so tasty, the salsa is awesome, hash browns were fresh and delicious and the biscuits and gravy were delicious as well. The walls are full of memorabilia that will spark great discussion and memories. The coffee cup never got more than half empty. The staff are friendly and helpful, they really want to make your day a little better and your meal exactly what you want it to be. I absolutely love Pioneer Cafe, I came hungry, left full, and took home a carry out box of the leftovers that I couldn't finish... And the price was more than fair for the quality and quantity of food I got and enjoyed. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back for more! GREAT Job...
