Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Sulphur Springs

Their food is good and it arrives quickly, the servers are friendly and this location is recently renovated and exceedingly clean. We will continue eating here and I would recommend it to anyone with 2 very minor caveats: Whoever works the register and takes your order should have a way of knowing when new patrons arrive. It's sometimes hard getting someone's attention when you first walk in the door. I don't know what goes on in their kitchen area but apparently it's distracting them from attending to customers. Finally, the thing that prompted this review is they ALWAYS take the tea serving containers away early (well before closing time). We've had to ask kitchen staff for tea several times, because the tea containers had already been removed. But then it's hard to get someone's attention when they're lost in the noisy chaos of the food prep area. These are minor issues that should be easily addressed and won't prevent our dining at their otherwise...

Well let's see. One girl was mopping the floor like always doesn't matter when the she mops behind the counter and when finally done then wait on us. She acts like she is brand new but wasn't. Could not get the order straight until she totally redid it. We had to walk across wet floor to get our drinks and the normal fly that is always in the lobby was sitting on the open lid dispenser. Then we had to walk over more wet floor to our table and to boot she is back mopping right under our feet.

Then our order comes and guess it is wrong. Might have known they redid it and finally got it right. It is just too bad the sandwiches didn't look like the picture. They do have good sweet tea However for the money it is...

Stopping in for a quick bit. This is an okay place to go. A good solid 3.9 due to good texture and taste, price, and atmosphere. This is the new calzone and chicken salad. The calzone is more of a pita. The sliced turkey and bacon came out okay, nothing to really make it memorable or stand out. The main issue is that the two meats were not layered, so you could get each in a bit. You would get a full bit of turkey or a full but of bacon. The chicken salad had nice crisp green and just a little added chicken. The taste and texture of the chicken was good, too bad there wasn't enough.
