Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Sulphur

Until the crooked female manager is gone, or maybe the cooking staff, perhaps some select servers are gone, I won't be back. At all. I would say between 2015 to 2016 this location's quality has nose dived. I used to love going here. The servers were promopt and friendly. Also attentive, asking if we needed anything or getting more drinks. Over the coarse if time the service became slower. I don't automatically blame the server because there are a number of factors as to why service is slow. I have noticed that even when the restaurant is empty the service is slow. At this point the servers were still very nice and kept us up to date with many appologies. I suspect the cook is to blame for a lot of hold ups. Even to this present day. As well as the female manager. I knew a staff member personally and from what I have heard and personally experienced, she is completely incompetent and a liar. Once, my husband and I went with several coworkers fot lunch. One of my coworkers and my husband ordered the endless enchiladas, and the one cowrker orders a bowl of chili. He gets his chili quickly because that's probably already heate in a pot. All you have to do is scoop a bowl. After that, we hardly ever got service. We ran out of drinks. It was well over an hour, and we asked what is going on since we had also ordered an appetizer of Texas Cheese fries. The female manager brings it out. She does apologize for it being so late. We look at these fries and the cheese is already solid, and they were cold. My husband asks her are these fresh, and she had the audacity to say yes. He told her take them back and off the ticket. We spoke nicely to her, not like pissy people. So she had no reason to be so difficult. Shortly after that, the other food comes out. My chicken bacon ranch quesadillas clearly had been sitting around. They were discolored and luke warm at best. I ate half of it before I gave up. I asked the server if she could remove this too. She went and spoke to that manager and came back with taking the Texas Cheese fries off was the best she could do. I flat out asked how they expect me to pay for cold, half eaten quesadillas. The manager finally removed those. That was the end of that visit. I stayed away for a few months. This last week we went for dinner with my husband. The wait wasn't absurd like the last time, but the bean dip we got was watery. We got that removed from the order. Then that brings us to today May 13, 2016. We arrive about 11:10 am. For a Friday, it was not overly busy. It still took over an hour to get food. The table next to us stated to the waitress that they had been there since the place opened. She came back and told them the kitchen was backed up. Pretty unbelievable considering they should have been prepared for Friday lunch service. Which still leads me to believe the kitchen staff takes some of the blame for outrageous wait times. When our food came out, mine was actually fine, but my husband's was burnt and cool. Also the burger didn't come the way he requested. He only needed mayonnaise and mustard, but our server was hardly to be seen. On the otherside of a booth, three employees stood around. My husband raised his hand at them. They made eye contact with him, but no one came. Maybe they all stared off into space....nah doubtful. This location is utter garbage. Don't...

I ordered online which gave me a message that said this location does not participate in the 2 for $22. (Not their fault, but part of my experience.) Which was weird to me but I continued on and ordered my food. When I got there I had to go to the bar for to go orders and she could not find the order I paid $65 for but she seen the order for the 2 for $22. I explained to her that it was an order I attempted to place but I received a message that this location was not participating in that special. So, she goes to the back and I go to get my phone just in case I needed to show that I indeed placed an order and paid. When she came back she asked if I had already paid for it online, I told her that I had. She leaves again comes back with a bag of food and I leave for my hotel which was literally 2 minutes away. Once I get the kids settled and start to unpack the food which was 2-orders of chicken tenders with two sides for both orders, an order of half ribs with a side and I added a side, an order of Cajun chicken pasta with a house salad, and a full order of cheese fries. One of the sides was onion rings the others were fries, loaded mash & skillet mash potatoes. The onion rings were not golden brown and overcooked, one step from being burnt, as well were all the tenders. The salad was "wet" I know that sounds crazy but that's the best I could describe it. The fries were not fresh and the texas cheese fries were not fresh either. I had to go back for the pasta which was not in the bag. I called to let them know I was missing a part of my order in which I was pulling up while on the phone with the young man who was very nice as was the bartender. My food was made quickly and it was delicious, which is the only reason I gave this location as many stars as I did. I would not be returning if I ever find myself back in this area. My children spent the entire day swimming and were hungry, I didn't want them eating fast food on our last day in the area and decided to order to go, they were very disappointed with their meals. So sad to see this place gone to trash. I don't know if this establishment is under a new owner or whatever, but years ago chips used to be free. And they were hot and fresh. Now they want to charge us for cold, greasy chips. The beer there looks old and sour. I ordered a salad, and upon receiving it, the lettuce was soggy and the grilled chicken was cold. Since I'm not picky I ate it anyway, and stopped halfway since there was virtually zero flavor to the chicken and veggies. Floor was disgusting. I know people complain in the reviews about how the kitchen area looks filthy but as someone who works in food service as well I can understand the messiness during dinner rush. But it becomes a problem when the filth spreads to where people are eating.. flies and roaches crawling under tables.. just so upset that one of my favorite restaurant chains have been reduced in quality and service. Guess I'll have to find another place to throw birthday parties.

Before this I had ordered a simple burger. No condiments on it despite ordering it with it already on it since they take forever to bring any sauces to tables.
