CiderHouse Pie Café + Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Summerville

Great first impression. Husband had “Pie Cream”- a layered dessert of ice cream, brownie pieces, and peanut butter pie filling, he loved it. I had a blueberry scone-excellent quality. I’m looking forward to trying more treats from here soon! Welcoming seating area too- we ate there and the portions were generous enough to have left overs to take home too.

Update: we’re repeat loyal customers at this point. My husband is addicted to the peanut butter pie. A slice of pie and a latte is our weekend ritual at this point. I’ve been getting the fall special pumpkin chia latte and it’s so satisfying. This is my favorite coffee for the Summerville area. My only suggestion is I’m hoping for some background music in the future- that would probably have us hang out longer there vs taking it to go. This is what pie is supposed to taste like! Frankly, I thought the cost was pricey but I WAS WRONG. When my sister and I took our first bite of cherry pie, we literally looked at each other, eyes wide. Plump cherries, flavorful crumb topping, delicious crust! And, there was easily 10 to 12 servings in the large pie. The apple was just as marvelous. The texture of the apples was perfect, not mushy, but tender and firm. Wonderful spices and the same delicious topping and crust. We also ordered the cannoli kit. It was a fun activity for Christmas day. It was so bountiful, we shared half with a neighbor. Go here! Found Cider House while searching for coffee shops and walked out with a latte, biscuit sandwich and a slice of key lime pie. I don't normally eat pie but after the biscuit I couldn't wait.

The latte was great and they have a full menu of choices. The key lime pie was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy, and that crust...👏👏👏 but the biscuit. Oh, the biscuit. The foccacia looks really good, but the homemade biscuit was amazing! That crisp top with the fluffy interior held up well to the sandwich and the flavor was perfect.
