Worst McDonald’s in South Carolina. Would give 0 stars if possible. Placed an order on the mobile app for counter pickup. The drive thru line is backed up and inside was full of waiting customers. Never was greeted, never was asked if I needed to order, nothing. Took over 20 minutes get someone to even speak to anyone in the lobby. Took 40 minutes to get my food. (While waiting I noticed the staff/manager was clearing the food screen before the order was completed which if you have ever worked for fast food they do that so the data doesn't show it takes so long to get food to customers) Gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was the middle of day and they were busy. I went a few days later, placed a mobile order for drive thru, got there at 10:35pm didn’t get my food till 12:40am. Line was not that long but figured hey it’s late at night it’s not as busy this should be faster. Took 30 minutes of waiting to even get to the speaker. Waited for another 30 minutes for someone to answer the speaker. Took another 30 minutes to even get to the first window (which was locked and no one was at, but saw multiple different employees walking by on their phone…if you have a line of people waiting don’t you think you should get off your phone and work so you can service your customers and go home). To then wait another 30 minutes at the pick up window. When I pulled up to the pick up window the worker asked me what did I order because he can’t find the ticket (If they would stop clearing the screens before orders are handed out they would know what people ordered because it would be on 1 of the 10 screens in that place). I then told the worker what I had, they walked away, came back, and tried to give me a soda that had been sitting there since I got to the window in which the ice had melted and the soda was watered down. I waiting once again until I knocked on the window because no one was to be found. I then asked him what was taking so long and he said they are making your food fresh (which makes no sense because they had 2 hours to make the food while we were all waiting in line). I finally get my food and of course was missing items. After everything was correct I then asked to speak to manager in which the employees just looked at me. At this point I didn’t even want the food just wanted a refund but I have now wasted 2 hours waiting so didn’t want to wait any longer to get a refund. They walked away with the window open (I’m guessing to go get the manager) meanwhile I can hear them all laughing and cursing talking about me having an attitude and asking for the manager BECAUSE I WAITED 2 HOURS FOR COLD FOOD. Just left after this because didn’t want things to get nasty was the manager because it was obvious they didn’t care about nor want customers. So many cars got out of line and I hope management knows they are losing out on a lot of money because of the bad service, food, and wait time. The food was in fact not fresh, the burgers were hard, fries were cold, and nuggets half cooked/very doughy. Waste of money and time. 10/10 DO NOT...
Read moreWe have never had an outstanding experience here, but our experience last night was hands down the worst fast food experience I've had. Aside from never being overly impressed by the wait times or quality of the goods, the customer service has always been fine. However, tonight's service was terrible and I believe it was the older, blonde manager herself who started it all for me. We placed a mobile order around 9:15PM, got in the drive thru to pick it up around 9:30. Our bank account was charged and our order stated it was complete on the app. We also received our emailed receipt. When we got to the first window we were told the system showed that we didn't pay, the employee tried his best to refresh and eventually got to the pending screen, but soon got the manager's assistance. When she arrived, her first words to us were that unless we wanted to pay now, they wouldn't serve us. Nothing they could do about it. Best we could do is wait to see if it processes, and at this point we'd been sitting at the window for a couple minutes. We shared everything that the app was telling us, along with showing where we were charged, and the woman could not have possibly cared less. No apology for the inconvenience or anything. So we pulled out of the line and decided to try and figure something out on our own, eventually deciding to hop in line, make a new, slightly different order without any of the discounts the app included, and just contest the original charge with our bank the next day.
It should have ended there, right? Unfortunately it didn't. We got to the second window and were greeted with "what's your order?". We explained and the employee disappeared. The manager came back, asking the same question, asking if we were trying to get our mobile order. We explained we made a new order and she wanted to see the receipt, so we gave it to her. She started to holler to the kitchen for what the order was. After a couple minutes we were handed a bag with food in it and drove off. I did a quick check to see that it had the correct number of items, but it wasn't until we got home that we noticed this bag of food was our old mobile order, NOT our updated order - different order number and everything. So we were given lukewarm food, cool - not to mention my husband had noticed his burger had the wrong ingredients too.The final frustration is something I'm sure the cooks can't control, but the amount of bones and tendons in our chicken sandwiches was disgusting, to the point of one being far from edible.
So I hate to leave such a negative review, but I work in customer service and know for a fact that I wouldn't have felt the need to write something here if we would have received even half decent customer service. Aside from the inital frustration of the mobile order and incorrect order, a little friendliness or a a simple apology would have gone a...
Read moreI was an eye witness to food falling on the ground and being put back into its original container and then being served to a customer outside in the waiting line where cars sit when orders are longer than excpected, or the food needs special preparation and that could hold up the drive-in... I went outside after watching the server dealing the customer the food that had just hit the deck, and I advised the customer who was receiving the food of what I had just witnessed, which was that their food had been on the floor and put back into its original box by a filthy rotten non-caring employee, and then getting served to them...I also advised them that if I was them I would not be eating that food as it is a health Hazzard and contaminated food from being on the floor and repackaged to be served, as I would also want to be told of such a condition of food which I was about to eat. The amazing thing about this is how the manager handled the situation. As she was not going to satisfy the customer for the contaminated food in anyway, I came back in the store and told the manager while the customer was still standing there in front of the manager, exactly what I had just witnessed and how I took great interest in the tracking of the contaminated food and where it ended up... I knew the manager did not see the food drop or hit the floor as she was not there when it hit the floor, and I explained to her which employee did it and what the employee then did with the food that the manger gave to a female employee to take outside and serve it to the waiting customer... The manager responded that I was a trouble maker and that I was making this story up just to start trouble. She also made an ethnic remark to me that I was a "white monkey, that just liked starting trouble and that I did not know how to mind my business". I do not know how most of you would feel about having your food on the floor and then being served to you, but I can tell you I would be extremely appreciative of anyone that would informed me of such a breach of food service and the safety and cleanliness of my food which is about to be served to me... The manager is a Hispanic female around 5'5", average build, long dark hair, and around 40ish years old. The food dropper is dark hair male around 510", dark curly hair with a trimmed beard, and an ear ring, stocky build 30ish of age. Do not eat there if you see these pigs working there, they will not care for your safety or well being for the food your going...
