Update 04/20/2020 @ lunch: Just a mer 2 months later and the staff has completely changed. They are no longer courteous or customer oriented. My party of 2 used the drive thru and upon reaching the speaker was told to wait. That's not a big deal to me but after waiting a few minutes to place our order and told to begin we were rushed to order having to interrupt the staff trying TELL ME what we wanted to order and then pushing me to move forward without fully completing our order. Again not a huge deal buster as it is understandable that sometimes you may feel overwhelmed and frustrated dealing with a constant flow of orders...BUT when our chicken sandwiches were served with a chicken tender instead of breast (see pic). WTH? No napkins, no utensils to eat our sides and large drinks were served regular size. Due to the C19 the lobby was closed so around the building and back in line to wait for what should have be done properly the first time. Upon reaching the window I was met with a manager who explained that they were just small breast. No on both sandwiches the strip didn't cover but half the bun and was cut or torn at one end to fit the length of the bun and clearly looked like a tender strip. After debating with her for a moment on what we were looking at she turned and walked away while over hearing her telling the staff to replace them. Leaving me with nothing but they are just small breast... I asked 4 times for napkins and sporks to eat with before finally receiving them. 45+ minutes total waiting on lunch the way we ordered and paid for it is not acceptable for "fast food". The service recieved and attitude of the manager will have me NOT RETURNING any time soon much less go out of my way to spend my money here. Thank you Chick-fil-A for ALWAYS being consistent, efficient and courteous! Upon throwing away the unacceptable food at the trash bin I found it was over flowing spilling out to the ground and on top of the container and had to dispose of it elsewhere.
Original 5 Star Post: Chicken sandwich is served on a butter toasted sweet roll, thick pickles and mayo. It is huge and will fill up a hungry appetite alone. They do not carry lettuce or tomato but when inventory permits they offer sliced cheese I'm told. The fries are Cajun seasoned hot n fresh. Top it off with perfect cup of sweet tea or cold lemon aide and you have the makings of a beautiful thing is all I can say.
The building and parking lot seemed to be a fairly new build and clean and is Handicap accessible. The cashier was helpful and friendly at our noon visit. They offer tables and bar height counter top with handy power outlets for those electronic devises we...
Read moreMy experience at the Popeyes located at 109 Parkway Ave, Summerville, SC 29483 was extremely disappointing and frustrating. When I arrived on April 26, 2025, I tried to order a Dr Pepper but was told they had no carbonated drinks. I then asked for lemonade—also unavailable. They only had sweet tea and frozen lemonade, so I ordered two frozen strawberry lemonades.
Next, I asked for Cajun rice (dirty rice), and the response was rude and dismissive: “We don’t sell that here.” I moved on and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and was told it would be a 5-minute wait—which became a repeated phrase throughout the visit. I completed my order with a strawberry biscuit and a 2-piece dinner (short thigh and leg). I paid at the window, received my drinks, and was asked to pull forward and wait for the rest of my order.
I ended up waiting for about an hour to receive my food. Each time I inquired, I was told it would be “5 more minutes.” During that time, I watched other cars leave the line due to the long delays. I tried to check on my order by going to the front door, but it was locked—even though the posted hours say the store closes at midnight. Staff inside were mopping and walking past me as I knocked, completely ignoring me. I could clearly see orders sitting on the counter going unclaimed.
Eventually, I went to the drive-thru window and asked how much longer it would be. The cashier asked the cook, who responded they were still “waiting on the short thigh and leg.” That was never part of the wait—they originally told me only the spicy chicken sandwich would take time. It absolutely does not take an hour to cook chicken, and the lack of communication and accountability was unacceptable.
When I finally received my food, I wasn’t even given a receipt. This entire experience was one of the worst I’ve had at any fast food restaurant. The staff showed poor customer service, gave inaccurate wait times, and displayed a lack of urgency or respect for paying customers. I will be contacting corporate, as this location needs serious attention. Totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this Popeyes location to anyone, and if I could rate it below one...
Read moreI purchased a 16 Piece Meal and an 8 piece Meal with sides, one being Cajun Fries (others Red Beans and Rice,Green Beans, and Mac and Cheese) I knew it was a larger order and as such was willing to deal with a longer time for it being ready. However, While I waited I got to hear Raven say "I have 5 minutes before I am off, so I guess I'll take these two then I am done" While waiting for the meal to be made the manager Dennis was at best seeming to try and eat soup with a fork. His staff was mostly standing around absently (some with their uniforms absurdly appropriate it would seem, which gave an even more sense of lack of professionalism). I then took the food to the car preparing to leave when I noticed the Cajun Fries were missing. I returned to the store and then ordered two more large orders of fries and another Red Beans and rice (this is a personal observation but the contents of the sides I was given seemed lackluster at best in their portions.) When I then received those Items and the missing items I informed them about all were of a smaller portion (in this case I should have noticed that the price was incorrect for the additional items so those three things are not a fault of the staff, however the original fries being incorrect I feel is). When I received the food, I stated it seemed incorrect, but Dennis only gave a slight expression of acknowledgement then returned to the screen of current orders. At this time I decided my experience was done here, unfortunately that wasn't to be the case. When I returned to the house, I was feeding my family and my children found what I can only describe as a piece of wood in the Mac N Cheese. I understand this is a new location and to be honest one of my fathers favorite restaurants, but even he was...
