I have come here to line dance Tuesday nights off and on for the last 12 years. Lessons typically start at 7pm and last until about 8:30-9pm depending on the level of the dances taught that night. There are usually 2-3 dances taught weekly for about 4 weeks straight to give time to learn them well. Great variety of music genres to dance to - not just country music, as most people assume. It is great exercise and the veteran line dancers are very welcoming, recognizing when you need help with the steps and for newer songs during open dance the more experienced line dancers will call out directions/steps to help the newbies.
Katie, the line dance instructor, is hilarious, down to earth, and thorough with teaching the dances step by step. She will even go over steps off to the side with you if you are having trouble getting a step down.
I saw that someone commented that you couldn't order a meal without ordering alcohol - this is false. Due to medication that I take, I can not drink alcohol and I have ordered meals several times with only ice water.
Bartenders are always very friendly and responsive, as is the owner, who I see there on occasion. The DJ on Tuesday nights, Tito, is also very nice and encourages patrons to...
Read moreExceptional bartender!! Abby I believe was her name. Very clean & well maintained. I had been to docs 2-3 times prior over the past 7 years, but always w/ others who frequented this bar & grill. I was hesitant on going by myself, but I was so hungry & it was close at the time. So glad I did instead of Arby's or McDonald's. The barmaid was so kind & professional. It was not extremely busy persay for the size of the place, but for one bartender it was busy. Abby, made her rounds very smoothly & took care of everyone with respect & urgency. I felt very comfortable within minutes of walking in she greeted me & began serving my drinks & menu. The mushrooms cheddar burger was amazing as I complimented the cook. I don't do bars usually, but will return occasionally to order their amazing food & patronize this business on Abbys shifts at least. Ty Docs bar & grill for hiring Abby to serve your customers & the cook who makes the very best burgers...
Read morePLEASE ADVERTISE BETTER THAT YOU DO IN FACT NEED TO BE 21 TO ENTER. A SMALL SIGN ON YOUR DOOR IS NOT ENOUGH, WE DIDN’T EVEN SEE IT. I walked in with my family as this place really looks like a family restaurant, but we were immediately all asked to see our ID’s. We told them we weren’t drinking and they still demanded to see them. Since not everyone in our party was 21 yet (close though) we were told to leave, didn’t even get to order the food to go. Very disappointed. AGAIN PLEASE PUT A SIGN WITH BIG RED BOLD LETTERS MAKING THAT MORE CLEAR, OR AT LEAST SOMETHING SO YOU DON’T CONFUSE YOUR...
