Just absolutely awful service on a consistent basis. Have been putting up with it while living in Sumner, but it's at the point where I felt the need to add to the awful reviews this location gets.
Basically it's very obviously mismanaged to a severe degree. They just remodeled it, but yet it's not improved on the key problems. For one, the drive through line goes out near the street fairly regularly, and it blocks off movement within the lot, creating dangerous situations. There are a lot of churches and a high school with a stadium right there, so you can understand that they'll get slammed from time to time. Thing is, when you get caught in this line, you notice that it's not like a bunch of cars all arrived at once, but instead it's that the cars that are there just aren't moving at a normal pace for a typical drive through, sometimes stuck for multiple minutes. Then you get to the ordering points and nobody actually attends to you for excessively long amounts of time (even more fun is wondering why nobody's said anything in two minutes, as you look to your mirror and see the person at the ordering point behind you placing their order). Then, even if you ordered on the app, which registers by location tracking that you are there and waiting, it's about a 50/50 shot that they'll even start making your food before you read off your app code, and often even the simplest possible orders result in being told to wait in the parking lot for them to bring it out to you.
Today's straw that broke the camel's back was waiting about 10 minutes to get to the window to get my food, and just sitting there for a couple minutes being ignored until I was handed the bag with my order, which had been sitting there apparently untouched the entire time I was waiting.
Also the fries are routinely undercooked and kind of gross here. And they love loading them up with a disgusting amount of salt.
It's McDonalds, so it's not like anybody's going in expecting perfection, but this place stands out as an...
Read moreNot rating the food, you know the food. I waited nearly 30 minutes from when the order was placed to receive four happy meals for my kids. The first blunder was being charged for someone else's order. This lead to a several minute wait for the manager on duty to come "refund" me for the wrong order and than charge me for the correct order. After this initial delay I thought well at least the food should be ready, nope. After another 15 minutes of sitting in the parking lot I walked into the store and than an employee dashed from the back and said "oh are you the four happy meals? Sorry we have someone new and the nuggets were a problem". Annoyed but ok. Finally I get home, my kids are super excited to see their happy meals, no toys. Also as a bonus for this relentless comedy of errors, they put an open bbq sauce packet in one of the happy meals and it was all over our food. So after a nearly 30 minute wait, being charged twice, waiting for a promised refund, they still didn't get the orders right and nearly ruined one of them. The stores offer when I called in? I could take more time out of my day to drive back to the store and exchange the happy meals.... Yeah, my four hungry kids aren't going to be told "sorry, I have to take your food and should be back in about an hour and hopefully with actually complete orders this time!". When I asked for a refund I was told they could not help me over the phone and again asked me to take more time out of my day. The compromise I was given was to call the franchise owner... At this point I've left a voicemail and given I doubt I'll hear back Ill just do a charge back to the restaraunt for failing to provide what was ordered and I doubt visa will push back given they already had to refund me for ONE of the TWO charges they put on my card... absolute...
Read moreI have been going here for years and have fond memories from when I was a kid, but unfortunately the food is consistently disappointing. The fries are cold and soggy half the time and either have no salt or way too much salt. The burgers are cheaper, but they're not filling so they end up costing the same amount or more for worse tasting food. However, the Mocha Frappe and the smoothies are great and the soda is fizzier than most other fast food places. If you want a filling meal you're better off walking or driving a little further to Jack in the Box.
Regarding the atmosphere, the employees are friendly despite all the negatives of working there. It gets very busy, especially after school hours since it's right next to the high school, but it really isn't fit to handle so many people. While the interior itself is somewhat cozy, it could be improved. More space between kiosks and seats would be more comfortable for those sitting and those using the kiosk. The inside gets crowded quickly since there's so little room inside. The drive through line goes into the road and (from what I've seen,) if you park and rush hour hits it's difficult to leave since the line blocks the parking spaces.
TLDR: The food isn't worth it but the drinks/desserts are good. The place is too crowded...
