We visited Benjamin's bakery on a Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and it was rather crowded. I had trouble getting in the front door because someone was at the coffee station putting milk and sugar in their coffee and the way it's set up you are supposed to wrap around the back of the bakery to stand in line to order, so it's a little bit of a log jam getting through. There seemed to be plenty of seating inside and out, which was very nice.

To order you read the menu that is high above the counter and then as you approach the counter you will be asked what you would like by the cashier. The cashiers are very efficient and do seem a little bit rushed as they are trying to move things along so people do not have to wait longer than desired.

As you approach the counter you can finally see the bakery items which, surprisingly, were not very enticing to us. Lots of cruller, donuts, and Danish type things. Personal preference obviously, but we usually have a wicked sweet tooth and still didn't see anything that excited us.

They have a lot of bagel types and while they looked delicious I actually didn't love them. They were neither crunchy or chewy on the outside, nor soft on the inside, meaning nothing really stood out about them. I feel like they were very similar to a supermarket bagel.

I got an egg and sausage on an everything bagel and my husband got a nine grain bagel with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese, egg and sausage. The cashier delivers the food to you and, in our case, he gave me my husband's bagel and I didn't realize it and took a couple of bites before my husband figured out our plates were switched. I really didn't care for his lol.

They deliver the food and coffee to you, which is nice, but then you need to get up and go to put the milk and sugar in at the coffee station near the door, as mentioned earlier. I don't mean to be petty, but it's a bit silly to have your coffee delivered to you outside and then have to go back inside to put your milk and sugar in. I think with the way the place is set up and so small they ought to offer to put the milk and sugar in for you . Also, milk was the only option at the coffee station. I did not see anything as far as half and half or non-dairy creamers. The coffee station had shakers with cocoa, nutmeg, and cinnamon powder...

My family of 5 go to Myrtle Beach every year and stay at Ocean Lakes campground .One of the campers next to us told us about Benjamin's. It is practically around the corner. Who knew??We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for over 20 years and did not know about this place. Well we are SO GLAD we know now!!!! We went there for breakfast and had the breakfast bagel sandwiches. We each ordered a different one. But, they were ALL GREAT GREAT GREAT!!! We went there later in the day for pastries and coffee and purchased some of the BEST BREAD we have ever had! Needless to say we went there every day for something because every thing was so so good. The owner came over to talk to us and he was SUPER NICE!! He even gave us a tour of his bakery and coffee processing facility. It was FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Everything here is Delicious!!!!!!!!!!! Coffee was AMAZING! Puts Starbucks to shame for 1/2 the price! I wished we lived closer! The staff is also SUPER Friendly!!! This place is the BEST!!!!! I cannot believe it took us this long to find it. And what a find it is!!!!!!I needed to write this review to let EVERYONE know about this great place! If you are wanting excellent food and service RUN DO NOT WALK to Benjamin's Bakery and Cafe. You will be so glad you did. It will become your favorite place like it is...

I just have so many good things to say about this food and the lovely staff that work there! My friend owns a beach house down there and recommended this breakfast place! Everything on the menu looks amazing! There is something for everybody there! All my friends and I had something different, and each one of them raved about how great their meal was! The coffee is amazing as well! The service was amazing! Even for being absolutely slammed, they remained positive and super sweet to all of their customers! I am not want to write reviews , but after the experience, I had, I just have to Bragg on them ! I left my bag there with all my cash and cards. I didn’t realize this until I was three hours out back on my way home. I called to explain my situation is to see if someone there turn my bag in! Thankfully someone who work there turn my back on and they were super transparent were gonna do and ship my bag out! 20 mins go by and I got an email saying my package is out for! They were so sweet and transparent! I am supposed to get my back today! All that to say you’re looking for a breakfast joint with amazing service, I would recommend this one to anybody! I will be...

I had never visited Benjamin's until a few weeks ago when I was in search of a last minute King's Cake for Mardi Gras. After several recommendations from locals on Facebook, I gave them a call. She told me they took King's Cake orders ahead of time, but that if any cakes were not picked up, she could give me a call. She took my information and even asked what size and flavor I wanted. I was so delighted when a few hours later, I got the call! My husband and I went to go pick it up, and while we were there, we got some lunch too. I had the Poplar Drive, which is like a Turkey Club, and it comes with these delicious bagel chips and your choice of salad. I chose potato salad. Oh. Em. Gee. So good. Everything was delicious. My husband thought the potato salad had too much dill, but I thought it was unique and flavorful. The atmosphere on a Tuesday in early Spring was relaxing. There were quite a few people sitting outside and 3 or 4 people in line to get lunch. It was a great experience, and my family enjoyed our Mardi Gras King's Cake.
