My friend and I stopped in to get lunch, before we got more than a few steps in the woman at the counter (DeeDee) started yelling that my dog had to remain on the porch. I stated he was a service dog, she told me it didn't matter, that is why they had a porch. I stated that by ADA law, I was allowed access with my dog. She then tried to tell me SC State law does not allow dogs in restaurants. Rather than fight, we left to dine else where. After I dropped my friend off back at work, I returned. I went in and stood at the counter. When DeeDee came around the corner and saw the dog lying by my feet, she refused to talk with me. One of the other employees asked what I needed and I explained that I wanted to speak with DeeDee. She walked to the back yelling that she had already told me I could not enter with the dog and she wasn't speaking to me. When I stated what the ADA and State laws state, she yelled that people didn't like dogs in the restaurant, and I should not make it all about me. She was trying to humiliate me. I asked for the store # and her name, she told me to look it up in a phone book. I explained to the same young man that had offered to help me what a store# was, he went to obtain it. DeeDee needs to know what the laws are, and not make up BS about state laws that don't exist, she is opening her bosses to a lawsuit. She is not a kid, she should have been adult enough to discuss the matter with me. I came prepared with ADA guidelines and State laws (reflects federal laws). She does not represent DQ in a very good light. I have in the past been to this DQ, without issue. Plan to...
Read moreMy adult daughter and I left the beach and headed to your store to grab a Father's Day cake. She threw her jean shorts and tank top on over her swimsuit and we headed in. Once at the register we were asked by the cashier to wait a few minutes. No problem. A few mins later when she returned instead of waiting on us she rudely looked at my daughter and said "excuse me can you button your shorts?" I was so caught off guard. Insinuating that she was dressed inappropriately and quite frankly causing embarrassment. This restaurant is very near the beach. We clearly had just come from there, no private part of her was even remotely exposed. It was very rude and very unnecessary. We just decided to go ahead and leave rather than being treated poorly at your establishment. We then decided to travel 6 miles to another dairy queen. Where my daughter went in with her shorts unbuttoned just as they were. We were treated very nicely and walked out with our $40 cake. I'm surprised the original cashier was so rude. We def will not return to that store and the fact that it was a female cashier attempting to shame my...
Read moreMy family and I placed a drive thru order at 2:15 today 12/21/2022. We received part of our order and notified them immediately that one dilly bar was freezer burnt or thawed out and refrozen. We still was waiting on the rest of our order. The young lady went to replace it and we heard yelling come from the store. She was getting ready to give us another on when she opened and closed the window while (Mary we later found out was the manager) was yelling to not exchange it. Mary was over near a door and yelled they cant keep it and we replace it well we didn’t want it nor plan to keep it I told her to tell the lady to come to the window so she did. She tried to give us another one that was the same way. We refused and requested a refund. The way Mary spoke with her employees is unacceptable, unethical not to mention unprofessional. No Mananger should speak to a employee the way she yelled at them. She was working in her pajama lounge pants. We asked for a number to corporate and she refused to give us a number. Thank goodness they have started to put up other locations because this...
