I always rave about Dutch Bros, and always try to make a trip if and when I'm finally out of my house because this place can be 15-20 minute drive. However, today was the worst experience and I'm not so sure if I'll be going as often anymore.
Experience is usually great due to the positive attitude/customer service from staff and their great team work to make drive-thru a speedy process. With that said, it's going to be a hit or miss experience each time.
Girl taking order this morning kept talking to this one car with a puppy all the way until it got to the window, AND THEN took my order...when there's been cars waiting in line. This isn't so great as it can put a rush to staff working inside the building.
I'm the second car in line and I'm still waiting as the front car with the puppy already got all their drinks but they're chatting for a few more minutes.
I got to the window and it was explained to me that it was that puppy's first pup cup. Okay great, but it's 7am on a Wednesday and I just needed to grab my nitro cold brew so I can go to work, please.
I come here because it's quicker than Starbucks and tastes better too, except for today. I sometimes drink their nitro cold brew straight from the can and I always order their nitro cold brew drinks. However, the campout nitro cold brew today does not taste Nitro at all and it's overly sweetened. Pretty sure it was just the regular cold brew, which I had once and never again. This definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll be giving Black Rock coffee more business considering I'm in a rush if it's a weekday morning and it's conveniently located next to Costco gas station.
Maybe I'll return one day if this poor experience fades away...
Read moreI have been going here for years on and off because when I get burnt out I go to Starbucks and a little bit of back and forth. Their customer service is 10 times better than Starbucks unfortunately, at least specifically the one on Reeves and the grand Avenue. Many years I've been going to both and I'm always blown away even if I go a few months without coffee from Dutch Brose they still remember my name and are very friendly and personable, at Starbucks there are employees there that I have known and seen working there and dealt with on a regular basis for the last eight years and they don't know my name, in fact they don't even acknowledge that they recognize me. Oh cares about the coffee, it's actually not all about the coffee because it's also about customer service and friendly service.
I even rolled through one day not looking very happy and was asked what was wrong, I explained that my daughter has just been diagnosed with cancer and that young girl there cry as I was crying, it was an emotional moment and it's the reason I will always give them five stars. Whoever it is that does the damn hiring here deserves a raise and if it's the owner Please Pat yourself on the back. This is coming from a business owner because I to...
Read moreDutch Bros: Service with a Smile (and a Slightly Hefty Price Tag) Dutch Bros is a coffee experience, and that experience is definitely unique. Let's start with the good: the service is phenomenal. From the moment you pull up to the friendly greetings and personalized recommendations, the baristas make you feel like a valued customer. They're patient, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic about the coffee and other drinks they're creating.
Speaking of the coffee, it's delicious. High-quality beans, creative flavor combinations, and smooth execution make for seriously good drinks. I love their green coffee options. As I'm not a big dark roast coffee fan.
Here comes the "but": the price tag is definitely higher than your average coffee shop. While the quality justifies the cost to an extent, it's something to consider if you're on a budget.
Overall, Dutch Bros is a great option for a treat or a special occasion. The friendly service, delicious coffee, and unique atmosphere make it a worthwhile experience. Just be prepared to pay a premium for that experience.
Rating: 4 stars (Would be 5 for outstanding service and coffee, but the price knocks it...
