Hummus Republic (Surprise) — Restaurant in Surprise

Stopped by for lunch at 11:15am. We ordered bowls for $13.95 each. From photos in advertisement, it looked like good size. I was wrong. It started off with maybe 2 tablespoons of rice if that. They were out of some hummus, protein choices not ready, i got 3 pieces of spinach leaves, pickled onions were floating in tub basically empty, she was literally trying to catch them. Artichokes were just oily woth no seasoning/marinade. Each serving was 1 tbls at most. The bowl wasnt even half full nor reached the inner line in bowl. Ive seen bigger kid portions. Drinks in fridge section were room temp and not chilled nor as fridge even on. Some drinks werent even working on machine. For that price u get 3x the amount of food at pita jungle and better flavor. You would think with nobody in there prior to lunch hour, they would be stocked and ready to serve. The gal serving us wouldn’t even look up at us while making bowl but the young gentlemen seemed very nice with his customers. We took food home as we lost appetite but after 1 hour in fridge, hummus turned solid. I’ve never had that happen. At that point we threw it all away and called it a loss. The decor was really nice and very clean inside but not something id return to anytime soon. Maybe too soon from opening and need to work out its quirks? Ill stick to CAVA or Pita...

Wow we just gave the new Hummus Republic a try today for the first time and we were blown away with how fresh and delicious everything was!

The pita was the best I've ever had! It was jam packed, but thoughtfully so and structurally held up extremely well. The pita bread was soft and delicious. All of the veggies were fresh and tasty, the lamb and the harissa hummus were perfect.

We also ordered a bowl with the chicken shawarma which was also very good but we agreed the pita was the super star. We ordered the pita chips with 4 of the different hummus options and those were incredible. Absolutely loved the pita chips, the texture was 10/10, soft but crunchy with the za'tar seasoning, they were so good just on their own. Our favorite hummus was hands down the harissa flavor, as well as the original.

So happy to have Hummus Republic in Surprise! We desperately needed a delicious, fresh, healthy option out here and you hit all the marks and then some! Can't wait to go back again...

After reading all the reviews, I was surprised at the quality to be honest. I just ordered some chicken, hummus and pita bread. I ordered it ahead of time and when I picked it up, it wasn’t ready. The employee said they ran out of chicken and they had to make more from scratch, and if I wanted to have a lemon chicken instead of the Shawarma, I could take the lemon chicken which I did because I didn’t want to wait. The chicken was dry. The Pita felt mildly warm. I brought it home ate the hummus, which was lackluster. Not the creamy wonderful flavorful hummus that I’m used to. They must’ve microwaved the pitas. The first one I ate was a bit stiff. I went back to eat the other one later and I couldn’t even unroll it from the paper. It was so hard. Very disappointing. I craved a warm soft pita and I didn’t get that. I may try again as I came in the middle of the day and was thinking maybe that’s why things weren’t so fresh . That’s if I...
