US Pizza - Bell Rd — Restaurant in Surprise

HORRIBLE AND I MEAN HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I ordered 2 pizzas and 12 wings through slice, I go pick up my order and I checked the pizzas to make sure they were made correct or not burnt and they looked fine, so I drive home. Once I get home and go get a slice I quickly realize the pizza isn’t even fully cooked and is still doughy! The wings look like they were cooked yesterday and are dry with no extra sauce on them whatsoever.

I called us pizza and tell them my issue and the manager tells me I can come back for more sauce and if I want to bring the pizzas back they can cook them longer for me!! WHAT?! That’s against health code! I told the manager I live 30 minutes from there, I’m not driving back and I just want a refund. He tells me he can give me credit and I told him I’m not coming back to that establishment and he tells me “oh no no not for today for another time” and I explained to him that everytime I go there I have an issue but this has been the worst and I’m not going back there. He tells me to contact slice for a refund then.

So after we hang up I contact slice who tells me the manager refuses to give a refund stating the food was fresh & warm. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Food can be “warm” and still not cooked, I even told them I can supply photos and slice told me there’s nothing they can do based off the managers response.

I suggest everyone stop buying pizza from these guys until we figure out a few things. Why am I paying a delivery fee? Doesn’t that go to the driver? Why are they making there own rules? Why are they making me sick to my stomach? Why are they trying to screw me? It’s actually pretty decent for a pizza. Compared to the other qualities in the neighborhood they are pretty good. They deliver to Festival Foothills which is pretty cool. The part that they fail miserably is that they charge me a delivery charge, then, they don’t even give it to the driver. So it can be one of two things. The driver is lying to me that he does not get The delivery fee which then would justify 1 star. Or the company is just taking the delivery fee. Which is also disgusting and deserves only 1 star. I will give them one other star for the quality of the pizza. But the fact that they are manipulating people for delivery fees is just too gross for me. Aren’t delivery fees for the driver? Why should I now tip the driver? Who’s job is it to pay the driver? The US Pizza on Bell Road is a very unique restaurant. Their pizza is good--better than the bigger pizza chains--but not mind blowing. They are also a little pricey, and your order always takes at least an hour to be made and delivered. That said, I have ordered from them for many years because they offer something no other pizza place does: Mexican Food.

That's right! From this specific location, you can order everything from quesadillas to red chile burritos to chile rellenos. They will deliver it right to your door, alongside whatever pizza, wings, or even burgers you ordered. And on that note: do not order the burgers.

If I could, I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars, because they do not really stand out. That said, I cannot in good conscience give it a standard, average 3. If you live nearby, I recommend you give this place a try and get to know their menu. It may be the only way to have Mexican food delivered to your door without paying Doordash's...
