The first time I rated where everything was all 5 stars. This place is amazing, really. I love everything about it, the food, the drinks, the service, the atmosphere, the functions... I'll start with the food. Of the times I've been here, I've tried only the Ramen, but have had many different types. And they are all delicious. The only dish I would consider even slightly undesirable would be the spicy Ramen, however, that was great, too. I, personally, believe the food is worth the price, despite how expensive it is. The different customizable options for each bowl really sell it. They give you the option to use chopsticks or forks, etc. And they aren't cheap wooden ones, they are nice! Oh, and a robot brings it up to your table, and a worker will pick it up and hand it to you!
Next, the drinks. For this, I'm talking about the Tbaar connected to the store. The boba is simply fantastic, and the robot that delivers it to you is just so adorable! It even speaks! The lids let you keep the flap on it or use it to keep it closed, and they are reusable!
The workers are so kind and patient, relatable and funny, they don't over-do nor do they under-do it. When you ask them for their opinion on a dish, they give their truthful answer. (As an added bonus, once a server overheard that it was my birthday, they played "Happy Birthday" on the speakers and gave me a free dessert! I never had a bad experience with the customer service.
The atmosphere! It's amazing! You have many choices of seating, ranging from tables to honeycombs. No loud, overbearing music, it has a nice and cozy atmosphere, especially with the layout and lighting. It seems involved with the community, as they have a bunch of art from customers on display! The honeycombs made of bamboo wood are probably my favorite part, though.
I never sat at a normal table, only the honeycombs, so I will be talking about what I saw there. I love how easily accessible the napkins are compared to other restaurants, and the way it's personalized to the store! The places you can get your seasonings are great, too! And I love the call button feature, no need to flag down a server or awkwardly wait for one to pass. Just a click of a button and they come rather fast. Plus, there are outlets on the wall.
Downsides, there aren't that much. The only few I can think of is that the taste is not for everyone, for those who may think it's like the noodles you get at the store. If the place is crowded, the wait times usually take a bit, especially for the honeycombs. And, regarding the honeycombs, the bamboo wood makes the people above you seem loud, we thought they were stomping.
Overall, great food, great service, and certainly...
Read moreMy first impression of Kyuramen is WOW the decoration is so nice and easy on the eyes. The restaurant is quite spacious. I went on their "soft opening" day, but they were fully prepared for the rush and all items on the menu were available it might as well be a grand opening.
The service was amazing, they gave us alcohol wipe to clean our hand and phone after we were seated. All the servers are very nice, and help each other out, so I don't have to wait for my server if he/she is busy with other tasks. We were lucky to get the bottom bee booth that looks very charming.
Now for the food, first thing first, save space for the dessert! My wife and I ordered the combination B1 - Classic for $46.99 that includes: A bowl of kyushu tonkotsu shio ramen ($15.99) A bowl of (spicy) Sapporo Miso Ramen ($16.99) Popcorn Chicken ($8.49) Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly ($4.99) Matcha Pudding with red beans ($4.99)
The shio ramen was much lighter in flavor and less saltier than the Miso. Both were good in its own way. The shio is refreshing with every spoon of broth while the miso brings a punch of flavor along with the perfect spiciness. Both came with half a marinated egg, but it was not cold like many places, it was still perfectly cooked. I just wish they give us 2, I love eggs. The pork chashu can be improved, the 2 pieces were thin and compared to surrounding ramen joints, and it was lacking in flavor. My bamboo shoots were still cold, I guess it was added after the broth were poured. I like how they have corn already added to the ramen, I love corn, and didn't have to order as extra on the side. The popcorn chicken was a little disappointing, while it was not the worse we have had, it can definitely be improved. It was not crispy enough to be considered popcorn chicken, maybe chicken nuggets. It was quite salty we had to asked for some lemon to calm it down a notch.
The highlight of the evening was the matcha pudding and the jelly. I love both, the pudding was rich and very smooth. It was like eating cloud, I would imagine cloud would taste like this, matcha cloud. The red beans were full beans so you know they cooked them and not from the can. You have to try the matcha pudding. The jelly is very light in flavor like the yin to the matcha (yang) switching between the two dessert is very compelling. They are both not sweet at all and I love it. The sweetness is just enough to make you crave more.
Checkout was a breeze on the iPad, no hand calculation needed, it's all there with a few click.
I did not see the dessert crepes on the menu and hopefully they will be on the menu soon enough so I can return and just order a bunch...
Read moreIf you’re used to eating ramen THIS IS NOT IT. I ordered takeout thinking it was going to be a nice dinner n movie night..the food ruined that. I picked this place over another bc of the extras on the edamame. When i showed up to pay the lady at the front was slick with getting me to tip. the way she just quickly said “sign here” on the pad and when you do sign it automatically gives 18% to them bad service or not. No biggie but it was the trickery part that I didnt care for. Then the edamame had everything but salt, and i usually eat all of it but not here i could barely eat half. It isNOT tasty and i really thought that was something you couldn't get wrong. They managed to. I ordered veggie ramen but it didnt come with the egg so i paid extra for one egg, i paid extra for extra spice.. and it had no spice AT ALL. The ramen had a huge tomato that tasted weird, huge chunks of broccoli to just fill up the dish, one baby corn, extremely tiny seaweed, lots and lots of corn. It gave very cheap and somewhat American fake ramen type of place. I paid $30 for veggie ramen and edamame which is not the usual price. I eat from other places at least 10 times a month. And i would have swallowed that at least if it was good. IT WAS TERRIBLE FOOD. CHEAP INGREDIENTS.total rip off. Maybe this place is fine for someone who is not use to eating ramen idk maybe not even then..shocked for this area..GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
Writing this AFTER THEIR RESPONSE FEEDBACK. I called to ask to speak to a manager or the person wrote the response or corporate phone number. The lady who answered the phone said they dont have managers in the location that day or the following day or no day, i asked for a corporate number she said they dont have one. I asked for the person who wrote the response and she said its just an automated response no real person writes it, then she took my number saying she was going to have someone call me about ny experience and its been over a week with no call back and i doubt they ever will. She sounded worse than the first lady and you can tell they dont care about the customers they take money from they are careless takers. At first i gave 3 stard for service but now its 1 and i wish i could do 0. By the way those huge tomatoes are not healthy for the body, nor is that overflow of cheap corn and brocolli just to fill up the bowl. You owe me a refund for never over charging me for the spice level, then giving no spice at all. This store SUCKS AND THEY COULD CARE LESS IF YOU ARE...
