As soon as we walked in the owner pretty much didn't greet us, told us to sit while pointing. Then when we did sit, he came with the menus and said we have to order quick like multiple times... It's their grand opening, it was our first time being there but that was what we were told....order fast because he is busy. So we pick our food and I even called my friend who was still on her way so we could order fast as he demanded. But then he never came to our table to take our order. After a while gave up trying to get his attention, and I walked up to him and ordered. Still after 15mins nothing, so my friend got up to reorder. Their menu is a lunch box style and you know most are pre made and ready to serve...I maybe wrong but it'll atleast definitely taste like it. Finally, got our food like 40mins later and we got the wrong order. Btw, he had NO servers. He did remake it, then it came out with a hair in it! When I tried to call him to point out the hair he didn't even walk all the way to our table. But I try to maintain myself from screaming- there's hair in your food for his sake, and when I showed it to him he didn't even apologize just said he'd remake it. They remade it...but compared to the speed of first time around...it came out like in 3 mins...a little too quick...made me nervous, so I just couldn't eat that dish. Then he never returned to our table to give us our check. My friend had to walk up to him to pay and he charged for the food with HAIR in it. Honestly besides food being mediocre, service being insulting, the decor of the place looks like they didn't even bother repainting, and our seats had a layer of dust. I rarely write bad reviews...but it had to be said...they need...
Read moreI tried this restaurant out today on a whim, with a friend. Everything is primarily in Korean (understandable, given it IS a Korean restaurant), but our server was quick to bring a menu that had English translations on it. We ordered the leek pancake, the tofu with kimchi and pork, and the Chinese style chilli chicken. Our food was so delicious! Kimchi had just enough spice without overwhelming the other flavors and textures, the pork was tender, and the tofu was yummy. I don't even like tofu much, but whatever they did or brand they use, it was so good. I helped my friend finish his dish! The leek pancake was also yummy, could use a touch more seasoning in my opinion, but it does come with a dipping sauce as well. The Chinese chilli chicken was my primary dish, and it did not disappoint at all. The chilli provides a suble spice, and the glaze has a sweetness to it that balances it out. The chicken was also very fresh, moist, and very crispy (it is a fried dish). So delicious! My only issue was with the length of time it took to receive our drinks and get our order taken. It was somewhat busy, and I didn't see a large amount of staff, so I understand, and I did not reflect that in the rating. Very pleasant...
Read moreThere is parking right by the restaurant. Inside is pretty standard. There are spaces available to accommodate larger groups. Definitely more of a casual hang out spot that’s good for getting drinks.
There wasn’t any wait and service was pretty fast.
Good variety of side dishes all very well seasoned.
Assorted pancakes: There was shrimp, mussels, zucchini, meat patty and jalapeño with ground pork. Everything was coated with an egg/tempura mixture. Not too oily. Personally favorite was the jalapeño one, very well seasoned with just a slight bit of spicy to it. Don’t eat the zucchini first, super hot (temperature wise) when it first arrived.
Pork jowl: not as tender as I’ve had before but good flavor.
Spicy pork belly: not too spicy at all, taste just like any other pork belly.
Short ribs: very well seasoned, slightly sweet but SO tender!
Didn’t eat the veggies that came with the meat simply because I preferred the side dishes.
Spicy sausage stew: not spicy and I’ve had better elsewhere.
Drinks were very responsibly priced!
Overall I enjoyed it and would be back. Would opt to try a...
