We convinced our friend to join us for dinner tonight and raved how great Your Pie was. Unfortunately, Your Pie let us down and did not live up to the hype.
Your Pie has a unique pizza dining experience where you stand inline similar to Chipotle, and have someone make your meal in front of you. If you are new to the place, it can get confusing, especially during a promotional period when they advertise kids meals for $1.99. Naturally since it was our second time there, our orders went smoothly. Unfortunately, for our friend with her three kids it did not go as smoothly.
My friend has three kids under the age of 7 that went through the line and placed their orders while she was reading through the menu to figure out what she wanted. Our friend assumed that since her kids were ordering that were getting the kids meals. The staff did not ask if the pizzas that kids were ordering were kid’s pizzas and continued to robotically go through their task and whip out three pizzas. After she placed her order and headed to the register to pay for her meals, she was surprised that they did not get the kids meals for her children. When she asked if she can get the kids meals, they refused to give it to her. They told her that 10 inch pizzas where made for the kids and it was too late. She explained to them that she did not know the process and that they should have asked her if her kids where getting kids pizzas. The person behind the counter did not care and told her she needed to pay for the adult price. After over hearing what was going on, I called the owner over and asked him why our poor friend could not get the kids pizza and he continued to explained that they made 10 inch pizzas and not 7 inch pizzas, so he could not honor the kid’s meal price. Basically telling us it’s too bad for you. He was clearly not willing to work with us and it was going no where.
It’s too bad that Your Pie does not value good customer service. I refuse to patronize places that are more concerned about their bottom line and put no value in their customers; especially when the difference of a 10 inch pizza vs a 7 inch is the dough that they are cutting off anyways and offer it to kids to play with. Really?! Will I recommend Your Pie to other people? Probably not and it’s too bad because we don’t have a lot of good family food options where we live. Again it’s too bad, but no one deserves to be treated badly. Your Pie Pizza - it’s too bad you lost our business and all of our friends’...
Read moreTook off my old review and added this new one because it is now under new ownership so my family and I had to give it another shot.
I must say the new owner has done a fantastic job with the place. The pizza tastes AMAZING, better than it was the last time we were here (7 years ago). The gelato was still really good. So here is a quick run down of our food3 My daughter got a gluten free pizza and it was REALLY good! Honestly I couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. Highly recommend it even if you are gluten tolerant. (She created her own with Alfredo sauce, mozzarella and mushrooms) My wife and I shared a pizza, the BBQ Chicken Racon Ranch. It definitely isn’t traditional but something’s are worth breaking tradition for. In this case I would certainly agree. Our other kids had the Ischia Margherita. I didn’t get a chance to try that one. Apparently they enjoyed it too much. We all had gelato for dessert. I had the peach cobbler. No complaints it definitely had a pleasant peach flavor My wife had limoncello and vanilla Our gluten free daughter had strawberry and limoncello (think strawberry lemonade) The others had cookies and cream to round off the flavors. All were excellent and very smooth and creamy.
Overall I would recommend coming here…still. If you’ve never been try it. If you’ve been before the new owner try it again. If you’ve been recently…well still come back. Oh and the new owner honors heroes with a 20% discount. They also have trivia nights and karaoke nights. Check it out...
Read moreI have NEVER been to a place with such poor customer service. We waited about 10 minutes with only guy and one family in front of us, just to order. The person taking the order was walking as if she was taking a stroll in the park. She disappeared without saying a word and the guy making the pizza dough picked up where she left off. Ordering the pizza was no big deal. Then we told him which salads we wanted. He started working on the salads but the cashier needed help so he went to help her. After he finished with her, he disappeared and our unfinished salads just sat there. When we go to the cashier, I noticed she was the only one trying to move at a descent speed and I thanked her for it. She seemed to be doing everyone else's job. When she asked us what we'd gotten, we pointed to our salads sitting there and although we tried to explain what we got, the girl strolling back and forth from taking orders and dealing with the brick oven explained what I ordered. So she had to go back finish our salads and cut our pizza, which by the way, was already ready from all our wait time. Oh yeah, I forgot...we people in line, someone from the back, I imagine the manager, came up and put her own personal pizza in the oven, waited, got it back and went back to her office. The food was okay but definitely not worth the hassle. BTW, the people behind us were amazed to at the poor service. Great Valentine's Day dinner this was. I will...
