I don’t think I’ve ever had a less pleasant and more irritating occurrence ever happen to me in my life 🙄 As I work nearby and have a set break time, I find it convenient to order online shortly before my break and pick it up a few minutes after the pick-up time they provide just to be safe. Last night around 6:45pm I placed an online order for a co worker and myself and got an estimated pick up time of 7:01. I left my store at 7:08 and walked in to a disaster and embarrassment of an establishment a few minutes later. I try to be patient but the fact my order wasn’t even started really got on my nerves. The THREE male workers behind the counter had the anxiety as if they had a full house and online orders piling up. This was not the case. 2 other people were in the store and both received their orders before mine was started. Still not really a big deal, I worked at a sub shop on a beach for 7 years of my life slinging subs in under 30 seconds each for hundreds of people... this should be fast. They give me my bag and I notice the subs are the same size and one was supposed to be a mini. So I asked if it was the right order. They tell me it’s not and take out the sub and make it over on a mini roll. I asked 3 times if the other sub in the bag was correct with no tomatoes and even proceeded to joke with them about how I really don’t even want to see a tomato near my food let alone on it. They promise me there is no tomatoes each time and I should believe them right? 🤷🏻♀️ No. wrong. I get back to work open my sub and there’s what on it ?!? What do you think is on it??? freaking TOMATOES. I go back now already 20 minutes into my half hour break and the kid legit tried to just peel the tomatoes off and give it back to me with nasty tomato slime on it. I told him no way make a new one. He did and while he was my co worker comes in because his was wrong too! I go back to my store again only to discover again that my sandwich was made incorrectly. I almost lost my damn mind. So keep in mind here that they have already thrown away 3 subs for a 2 sandwich order because they were wrong af. I didn’t get to eat until an hour after I ordered my food. I basically told them they need a woman working there because they are clueless how to run a kitchen and that I would be speaking to their manager and asked for their name... they told me Joe was the manager. Well I called today and Joe answers. I ask if he’s the manager and he told me no that he’s in training to become a manager and the real manager would be in at 1:30. I was going to give it until speaking to a manager before writing this lengthy review but being lied to about who the manager is to avoid getting in trouble is lower than I will go. Oh ya and even though I paid for the whole order they gave my co worker a free sub coupon for HIS troubles!!!!...
Read moreQuick Update: I've seen some of the old crew, so some of my faith has been restored! The staff are usually on their game and today was no exception, but they definitely need a fourth person during the lunch rush.
Update: New owners took over this location since my original review:
I haven't seen any of the crew I used to see, the cost of the sandwiches went up a bit and the portion sizes went down a bit. I'm now paying about a dollar more for a smaller sandwich that's loaded with lettuce and barely any meat.
For a Regular size Roast Beef & Provolone sub I counted 5 slices of roast beef and two slices of provolone, then two cupped handfuls of lettuce pressed down onto the sandwich, which is disappointing. My only suggestion at this time would be to increase the amount of meat if the sandwich only calls for one type of meat...I doubt the Italian sub gets 5 slices of meat total.
I can't say the changes have left a good impression, especially after getting to know the whole crew that used to work here...they were half the reason I frequented this location. That being said the new crew is alright, I've only met a couple of them and they're nice, but it definitely feels like this location took one step forward and two steps back overall.
I still go in every once in a while, but unfortunately it's no longer a go-to spot for me.
Original review before new ownership:
I work in Vinnin Square and Jersey Mike's has become my go-to lunch spot! One factor is obviously convenience, but I keep going back because the team that's working there always has a good energy and attitude, and the sandwiches are solid - one regular size sub will cover my lunch and part of dinner, so unless I'm really hungry I definitely feel like I get my money's worth.
Is it the best sub in the entire world, hands down? Who's to say, I don't know. All I know is that for me, this location is solid - good people, good...

I would give them minus stars if I could. Barely acknowledged when I walked in..I saw they were working on a big take out order so I was patient..but it was like I was forgotten about. So I said canceled my order and walked out..loud mouth employee yelling at me as I was walking out saying bye loser...your not cool...I just kept walking...they are not worth my breath to argue..apparently I am not the first to complain about their attitude...read some of the other reviews....avoid this place unless you like beine ignored and called names. Customer service?? Where has it gone? Hopefully the owner if this establishment wakes up and sees his employees ruining his business... oh well... theres plenty of other places to go as u see from my reviews I visit alot of eating...
