The other day my husband and I drove out to this Salem store to go shopping. I thought maybe I'd left my ID at the store because when I got home, I couldn't find it. I called the store to see if someone could check ONE specific spot (a specific couch we'd sat on to see if it'd be good for our living room) where I thought I'd left it. Whoever answered was very rude and said she was short staffed and couldn't look.

My husband and I drove 15 minutes back to the store and looked ourselves, only to find two associates already working in that area of the store where I'd asked for someone to check. If they were already there, why couldn't they just peek at the couch to see if something was on it? I completely understand if a store is short-staffed, but this woman was clearly lying as everything seemed fine in the store and there were employees already assigned to the area where I thought I'd left my ID.

We didn't find my ID but this woman could've saved us 40 minutes of time just by asking a fellow employee to do a quick look at a specific couch we'd sat on. There were 2 other stores I'd called that morning to see if they could help and this location was the only one that was not helpful. Everyone else at the other stores were more than happy to help. I love the store ! But I had the worst experience ever involving a manager. She stepped on my foot and hovered all over me and didn’t even apologize. Normal human beings will at least say “sorry” but she stared at me and puffed. I asked for her name and she would not give me her name and walked away, so I looked at her badge . Her name is Valisiki. Im not sure how she became manager . But I can tell you no manager behaves like that . I work near by and on my break I will stop by to see any goodies but now I have to feel uncomfortable every time I see her . She is rude . Need to really speak with the people you hire as...

Home Goods in Swampscott has just about every type of "Home Goods" you will ever need, and the prices are great. There's plenty of free parking right outside the entrance. I didn't give this store the fifth star because the staff seem to busy themselves with neatening things, stocking shelves and whatnot, and I had a hard time getting any assistance when I was trying to locate a certain product. The clerk's I have encountered weren't very friendly nor helpful, so they could def do better with customer service. Overall tho, I'll keep going back cuz I love to shop...
