This is why I started making my own at home… I use to make this Starbucks a daily stop of mine. Maybe 2 or more times a day. Some of the staff knew us by name and some knew our kids. Some of the staff came from other Starbucks that I use to visit and I followed them to their new location. How ever I rarely see those staff members anymore, in fact I have stopped ordering from this location if they are not working.
I order the same drink every time. Never changes. How ever 90% of the employees can not seem to get a stock drink from the menu correct. I do not order anything special or complicated. Carmel Ribbon Crunch, almond milk, add on two shots. Yet when I add on they will leave out the FRAP ROAST to the FRAP DRINK? Why, I added on not subbed out. I have gotten this drink more than 5 time where the Carmel was never pumped in nor drizzled, CARMEL is in the name of the drink! I pay extra for the type of “milk”, trust me if whole milk did not hurt me to drink I wouldn’t ask other wise, so why is it that the milk choice is always skipped over that I literally had to change my account name to my type of milk choice in order for it to be correct? I also have to pay extra to add in the shots of espresso which I enjoy. Many time I have received this drink missing the shots, when they blend in the shots there is always at least a tall cup of left overs what go down the drain that also include my shots… while I understand you only receive what you pay for… then I expect all of what I paid for and maybe the portion control is on the makers end, so now I get my shots affogato which make it much easier to tell if I received them or not. Which has happened!!!
But today takes the cake! Normally I would call into the Starbucks customer service line and leave feed back but clearly that is not working. Today I stop and go into the Chambers Hill Store a little after 4pm. The barista makes my drink and everything goes well. Followed the recipe and all, very surprised. The two drinks he made before mine he was off in his measurements and poured some out in order to get the cup lid to fit. One drink had shots now it looks like a whole cup of milk, I am sure that person will be happy with an $8 milk.
How ever I watch him and wait. He gets my shots and tried to pour it on with out the dome, I ask him to put the dome on to make sure the shots stay in the cup and not flow over. He tells me he can’t do it and assures me it will be fine. He drips it over the whip cream adding volume to a full cup and guess what! It over flowed. So then he puts the top on and hands it to me… LEAVING HALF IF MY TWO PAID FOR SHOTS IN THE GLASS AND NOT IN MY CUP. I point this out and he turns around, takes the dome off, pours the rest, and then looks at me confused. He says he will give me another half shot. I ask him to put it into a bigger cup which he was resistant on and hands it to me, I ask him to put the shot in the cup he just said he would do since he dumped it every where… NOW I am getting the dirty look.
The app tells the customers the recipe yet it is never followed. I love Starbucks. But paying $8.75 for a drink that never is made right and having situations like this does not make me want to come back again and again. This is why I rarely come anymore. I wish I would have recorded this visit. I never take pictures or anything, I have never left a public review, I gave the benefit of the doubt so many times. But today was a new low.
I gave two stars because the employees we know and take pride in their jobs are amazing at...
Read moreThe workers here are super nice and do their best to keep up with the drive thru, mobile orders, and in-store orders, even if they get swamped at times. My order always comes out within a couple of minutes and is made exactly like I want. If you want to chill here and be well taken care of, the workers keep the location clean and are attentive. They are good people and a highlight of this store.
What makes this place rather insufferable is a single guy that seems to be in the store every time I get here, or he shows up around noon. He sits in the back, near the restrooms, and all he does for hours is blare music, political messages, and the news on his phone. He seems to lack any familiarity with the concept of headphones, or he's just an inconsiderate prick that only cares about himself. What makes it worse is that he holds his phone up to his head, so he's aware that phones can be used to make noise close to his ears, but he can't quite grasp the connection that he can turn the volume down and hold it closer to his ear. And he's always wearing nice clothes, sometimes even a suit, so it isn't like he's too poor to afford a $50 pair of nice headphones. The workers never ask him to chill out with the noise, even if they walk by him, and the few times that I've seen people ask him to turn down his noise, he complies for like 5 minutes and then goes right back to blaring it.
Update: Of course, he's a Tesla driver. Dude can afford a Tesla but can't afford...
Read moreWhen Paxton Street closed I chose to go to Chambers Hill because of the proximity to my workplace and because I knew some of the people that went from Paxton To Chambers Hill. I am one of the early people and it's very nice to start your day out with a smile. This is what the early morning openers do for me and I believe I do that for them as well. However, it seems when Taylor, the store manager is there the atmosphere changes. I can tell she treats each employee differently when she's there. The mood is down. One moment she will greet me with a smile but then the next few times, nothing. I am a manager of 12 people and I tell them if they are in a mood prior to coming in they should delay their start time. One person can change the whole dynamics of a team. I can see that when she tries to be pleasant it's not genuine. It also appears to me that she has her favorites because of how she interacts with 1 person to another. We all have personal issues and life happens but you don't reflect that on your team. The team you work with is your workplace family. If this is how you treat your family then you shouldn't be managing people. I continue to return because of the others that make the start of my day pleasant. Those people are the true meaning of an Extraordinary...
