La Estrella China Restaurant — Restaurant in Sweetwater

I am surprised by how good the food is here! I honestly wasn't expecting much when I googled and found this place. But given it was raining and I was too lazy to cook I decided to give it a try.

When i walked into the restaurant, i was having second thoughts. Half of the restaurant was closed off and resembled a factory. Not very welcoming or appetizing to look at. But they seemed busy with many take out orders.

Wow! They food is tasty and not oily at all. I ordered a lo mein, fried rice, and chicken with broccoli. All were really good and tasted fresh.

However, the prices they charged are a little higher than their displayed...

Sorry but i read the good reviews and wanted to give it a try and am very dissapointed, i ordered to go and food was ready in 15 minutes since i called, very good, i ordered Pork fried rice and was passable high on salt, the Sweet and Sour Chicken we tasted it and went to the garbage too much bread and grease the chicken had no taste, the Egg Drop Soup was watery and the water did not taste good the egg rolls were very dry and hard went to the garbage too, in all won't try again, i will not mention my favorite chinese restaurant close by (there are three) because i do not want to tint my review but believe me there are better...

The vegetables in my husbands beef and broccoli were soggy.. our hot n sour was bland and was made of a chicken stock with chunks of flour in the broth.. i would have never guessed it was hot n sour soup if I didnt order it myself.. I wasnt expecting anything big from a hole in the wall Chinese take out restaurant either. Me and my family will never go back. PS. They skimmed us on the noodles for the large soup and the girl answering the phone didn't know...
