i am so disappointed with the service i had here for lunch today! i had to take my 7 year old daughter to the doctor today right next to this place. i was excited to eat here since it is a Lent Friday, and i can't eat meat, so i was looking forward to a good tofu pad thai. i ordered appetizers and soup for the 2 of us which came out timely. but that's where it all went downhill. within the 1 hour to wait for just the pad thai to come out, the server had poured water, cleared the other plates, and come back again to basically say 3 different times my noodles would be out soon. during that time, i witnessed another customer complain about getting the wrong order, and he had been waiting over 45 minutes for the simple small lunch order. i asked them to pack 1/2 my order to go before bringing it out, so i could eat at least 1/2 while it was hot and fresh. she screwed that up, and brought the whole thing in a to go carton. so i ate 1/2 out of the to go box as i sat there waiting for my check to be rung up. a table of 6 that had come in half hour before me was getting served their main dishes before and during the time she brought out my pad thai.

i am upset because i have recommended this place for the taste of their pad thai several times the past couple of years. i will now tell everyone not to try it or go back.

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times in the past and it has always been a nice experience, so I am very disappointed to have to write the following. Today, I called at 1pm to see if dine-in was a option. It was, but I was reminded of their lunch closing at 3pm. No problem. I would be in and out by 2:25pm. However, upon arriving, I was not very well received and rushed to order. When I ordered, the owner and I raised our voices at each other due to miscommunication. Typically, I order a lot of food, but due to the poor service and pushy nature, I felt like I couldn't even order everything I wanted. The apps and Thai coffee were tasty, along with the curry fried rice. However, the crispy pad Thai and pad Thai were too sweet. I was also not asked about spice level for pad Thai, so it was not spicy at all. My guest and I spent $50 for lunch, which could have easily been more, but we felt unwelcomed. I generally go to Bangkok St because they have good food and vegan friendly options. I’ve been going here for a little over a year. However, I received such horrible service yesterday, that I felt compelled to leave a review. The sad part is, I only ordered carryout. The hostess was incredibly rude to me when I asked her for a sushi menu. She didn’t even bother handing the menu to me or at least placing it on the counter in front of me. Instead she slams the menu to the far left of me and crossed her arms as she watched me pick it up. I have never encountered such blatant rudeness in my life. Because I’ve been there multiple times, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I ended up ordering sushi for myself and my significant other.
