Husnad and I went to crafty crab in Kenwood, Ohio for a random Friday night, easy date. We have been here before and enjoyed the food very much. Staff is usually very pleasant and helpful. However, it has been a while since we visited. This restaurant opened several years ago in our neighborhood and it was nice to see something so different and having lived on the east coast years ago, we were excited to see a place with a great seafood broil. Despite the sun faded posters and decals on the front of the building, we have always decided to choose this as a quick date night without the kids. However, I hope their bathroom does not reflect the state of the cleanliness of their kitchen. Clearly meals that splatter butter and seasoning is a thing here, but there holder for napkins was “crusty“ for sure. looking past this, we still ordered in the food and it was was acceptable. We ordered the mixed broil, mild seasoning in the small order for the two of us. With a side of hush puppies. This was plenty for two of us. Then I used the bathroom… I was appalled. I was met with dirty, fingerprinted walls, stall doors and disgusting surrounding areas, including the sink and flusher button. I understand that rating a bathroom in a restaurant maybe taboo. However, when it comes to a restaurant, I can only assume that the attention to detail on the serving area is given the same amount of attention as the bathroom. Sadly, the state of the bathroom and several items in the store has been enough to make us not return to the crafty...

I went to Crafty Crab with my sister in law this morning. The restaurant opens at 12, but the staff didn’t show up to unlock the door until 12:02. We sat for almost an hour before our food was served because kitchen “is taking a while to get ready”. We tipped over 25% anyway because we used to work in restaurants and felt bad for the server. Then on my way out to pick up my kids from school, my car was blocked by the ladder of their delivery truck. I waited patiently for them to deliver two loads before asking them to simply lift the back ladder so I can squeeze out- - to which I was told impatiently “can’t you just wait?” I explained that I couldn’t, I had to pick my kids up, and was ignored. Then I asked the restaurant guys to ask the delivery guy to just lift the back ladder, which takes almost no time nor effort, the restaurant worker replied to me “that’s not my problem, his delivery is for the owner, not for me. Go talk to the owner.” I then asked to speak to the owner, and was told “she’s not here, she rarely comes in.” I had to wait for two more deliveries before able to move my car and was late to pick my children up.

For a restaurant that opens at 12, kitchen should be ready to serve at 12, not just unlocking and prepping. They held us up until after 1 to serve our food, then blocked my car and rudely told me that’s not their problem, go talk to the owner who’s never there… I can hardly see an establishment such as this stay in business for long. I would never...

Two of three people in my family are low carb/keto and my review will be based off that. 1st the food was good however the sides options are to be desired. Everything is carb based. I mean no regular veggies like broccoli at all. We asked for salad with no croutons and was told we couldn't because its premade. Smh...that says not fresh up front. I ordered wings but couldn't eat them because I forgot to ask if they were breaded. However after telling the women I couldn't have croutons because I don't eat bread. I felt like she should've said something. Next my meal was wrong, they sent crab legs when I ordered shrimp and Crawfish. Lastly the bill was put in wrong. We ordered two combos and added items on side. She rang each up separately which cost more. She had manager fix it. So will we go back.... yes but I will stop...
