Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Sycamore Township

This was the worst service I’ve ever had. I LOVE skyline so it was very frustrating to have an experience like this. We walked in at 11:30 pm, they close at 1am. The servers started complaining that people were still coming in and wanted to lock the doors. Mind you they were still open for 1.5 hours. A couple walked up at 11:58 and Skye locked the doors right in front of them. They argued that they were still supposed to be open and she reluctantly let them in. As we waited, We weren’t greeted. Our waitress threw the crackers down and said “ya ready?” We learned her name was skye when we got our checks because she never introduced herself. Water was never refilled. She never checked on us. We got our food and it tasted great- that wasn’t the problem! The wait staff and manager were so unprofessional. We wanted to order some things To-Go so we asked to speak to the manager to see if that was even possible. When we told him about our experience he said “these girls work hard. We shouldn’t even be open because we are short staffed.” He never once apologized, just made excuses for how horrible the service was! If you’re open- service should be up to par. It shouldn’t take away from the customers experience. We did not order our to-go food and we will not be returning. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever seen in my life. Manager needs to go for his lack of ability to solve problems and talk to customers. Waitress needs a reality check about working the late shifts and should never let her personal feelings ruin someone else’s dining experience. I’ve worked as a server… I know how it goes. But you have to turn it off for a bit and just work....

I have come to this skyline many times before due to the closest of it to my house. I usually never have a problem however a week or so ago, I had the worst experience within fast food. I had ordered my usual order from the drive thru and went home. I got home, opened up my order to see only two coneys when I ordered 3. I go back as soon as I notice and go inside. I told the lady in the front about what happened and she looks at me and says well it’s in a 3 coney container. I told her I understood that but I only see 2 so she proceeds to get the person who made it who I was later told was the owner’s son. He told me that he knows what he made and there’s 3. I told him that I might be mistaken and if he would like to look in there please do so I can be corrected however both him and the lady told me, there’s nothing they can do and didn’t look in the container. I left feeling very disrespected and embarrassed. My review may not convey it but they were very rude and accusatory. As if I went home and ate one just to come back and ask for another. I was not mean, I was not disrespectful and I was willing to admit my mistake if they had just looked in and told me that there was indeed 3. I took a picture and everyone I have talked to said they only saw 2 coneys. I felt as if they didn’t believe me because I look younger than I am but at 22, I’m not gonna lie about 1 singular coney. I've ate at many different Skyline locations. This location is by far the worst I've ever been to! I suggest to not go to this one. There are many locations in the area. I was on a Daddy - Daughter date and she chose Skyline to eat at. This location was the closest. They seemed friendly at first. Then, when I received my large 5 way it barely had any chili and only half the cheese from other locations. I informed the waitress it was really dry and requested more chili, which she gave to me. After that the waitress didnt acknowledge us at all the rest of the time. No refills, she came by and just laid the check down at the table without saying a word and walked off. A few waitresses were yelling at each other telling them they have forgotten about other customers and one of the waitresses did tell her I'm sorry, but the older waitress yelled don't worry I got them already. Then, I was trying to get our non-existent waitress to give my daughter her dessert that comes with the kids meal, the waitress just threw it on the table and walked away.
