Gold Star — Restaurant in Sycamore Township

Had the absolute worst experience at this location. I have worked in the food industry before and am very understanding of workers/their situation but this encounter was the worst customer service I have ever gotten in my life. I came in for a doordash and stood to the side(like i do at every other restaurant) to tell them my order. The blonde women who works the prep and about age 40 looked at me and rolled her eyes. She said can I help you in a very rude tone. I was polite and told her who I was there for then she asks what the name is, order specifically was, to see the order, for me to repeat the order again, and the accommodations to the meal. She did this in an extremely rude manner so I asked her if there was a problem. When I said this I swore she was going to hop the counter to fight me. She created a scene and was screaming at me explaining tickets etc. i have no problem whatsoever complying to the needs of the store but she was extremely disrespectful. To top it off she threw the food towards me when she finished the order. I have never been treated with this kind of disrespect and employees should not be allowed to have this kind of attitude. My boyfriend and I came here while visiting the kenwood mall, I LOVE the food at gold star but while we were trying to order the old woman at the counter was very rude to us and she yelled at us multiple times after we tried to tell her what we wanted she put in mutiple incorrect things and extra meals. Then when we tried to put my boyfriends chicken sandwich in she went “ITS TOO LATE TO CHANGE IT TO THAT” and we once again had to explain the other food was mine, she was so angry in fat she pulled the food cook over to also yell at us about what we ordered and when we finally got the chicken sandwhich order in he went “fine but there’s no pickles” we said that was okay and waited quietly for our food. When he finally handed me the bag and our two waters, my fries were falling out and one of the waters we were given was RED and transparent. Once we finally made it to the table I opened my portion to see it was sloppily made and they had given me less than half a bag of fries. I am super mad. Tonight on the Galligan Family GoldStar world tour we stopped at Kenwood Mall Gold Star. I was not able to tag the location for some reason. To be honest I am not a big fan of the Togo style. However they were very friendly and fast. The food was delicious as always. I guess I just really enjoy the home town feel when you go to a regular restaurant. GoldStar has amazing servers and I always look forward to them. It is nice to know you can get a yummy cheese coney and a chocolate shake when shopping at the mall. 😉...
