I scheduled an interview got there early, I observed the kitchen to watch the coordination, and the baker felt uncomfortable with me watching the open kitchen and told me i could sit down if i want i said i like to watch the kitchens sometimes and he insisted i watch from the other side of the open kitchen but when i went to the other side i clearly couldn't see the kitchen, he obviously felt uncomfortable. I eventually let them know I was there for an interview, they were moderately busy so I waited about ten mins but, I literally seen majority of the BOH just standing around talking about what idk. I was then sent one of the many managers to interview me, the interview was going fairly good. I was told I would get a call letting me know if they'd like to have a job preview to test my skills in he kitchen, I was sent an email the following morning denying me the position, i didnt even get to have the preview, I've worked in many fine dining restaurants over 16 plus years I'm still friends with some executive chefs, I'm very much over qualified, why was I denied, I feel I was racially profiled due to most of the staff be of Caucasian decent, I felt out of place during the interview, a horrible experience, I wouldn't even eat there due to how awkward the entire encounter was, I'd suggest the higher ups in the company to add diversity to the...
Read moreMy friends and I came this morning for breakfast. We were caught off guard by the fact that you have to order before sitting. This is very unpractical seeing that there is nowhere for a family to sit and look over the menu at all. It also makes it very rushed and you don't get to take your time. Then to not have any help to your table...to have to get your own coffee, grab your salt, pepper, honey, while balancing with children is ridiculous. Once we finally got sat, everybody's food came out at a different times, even though we were all on the same ticket. We enjoy eating together. So most of us had cold food waiting on pancakes for my daughter. While we're sitting here somebody coming to the table and asking if we would like a refill on our coffee would have been lovely seeing that we had at least five people pass every minute looking at our table. They had associates everywhere walking around doing nothing. The kitchen took forty five minutes to get our order out.. The first being fifteen minutes the last one being forty five minutes. I would say this is an excellent place to go if your children are not with you and you've already looked over the menu before you ever get there. Otherwise it's just a handful of...
Read more10/10 experience! This is probably my new favorite restaurant in Kenwood! Everything was delectable and plated phenomenally. We loved everything we tried from the Cheeseburger (best shoestring fries I’ve had in a while), chicken avocado sandwich, fish sandwich, to the kenwood salad. We barely got some pictures before we started diving in with how good everything looked. The service is also top-notch; there was a waitress going around asking if people wanted a last cup of coffee before they put away the coffee. The entrees were slightly delayed according to the manager (which is a strong term considering we had a table of 8 and were content waiting), but they were incredibly kind to us and gave us free entrees for the next time we visited. Also can’t say enough good things about the vibes - great lightning all round with tasteful decorations and...
