As the previous General Manager to this location I would like to say for the most part it's under POOR POOR OWNERSHIP. The shift managers and myself are well aware of the problems in this store but without cooperation from the owner who likes to hide behind management, There's not to much we can do. The reason I am writing this post is because I would like to sincerely apologize for any role I had in making anyone's visit here less that great while I was employed here. I was terminated after 3 years because I had a very very serious crisis with my son and was I no condition to work. This was absolutely unacceptable to the owner Mitch, when he asked me what was wrong I explained to him what my son was going thru (I was extremely distraut). His response to that was I was unable at the time to be an asset to his company and when I left that day I should drop my keys in his safe! I was shocked! I did as he asked. Most of all my feelings were extremely hurt, I gave my heart and soul to that restaurant. I left my family to go to work when I was needed, I brought up speed of service to customers & made coming there overall experience a whole lot better. When I took over this store was rated a 1 star. This owner Mitch ONLY cares about the dollar bill not customer service or anything else for that matter. He cares nothing about the children of his workers or if their parents can provide for them even though they break their back (not literally) for him while their at work. If you are a woman PLEASE don't apply to work here. Men are superior at this location. Discrimination is in full effect here. I know because I used to do hiring and interviews and was not allowed to hire unless Mitch was able to set eyes on the person first. Overall this is just a horrible horrible environment, it is my opinion that anyone reading this and considering spending money here should go elsewhere. If you really love DQ there's another location at Tacoma Mall they don't serve burgers though. However there one on 5-12 and So. Tacoma way does. Thank you for reading and for my few regular customers I would just like to say hello and I miss you...
Read moreThis DQ is terrible, and I mean it. I don't go around giving bad reviews, or any for that matter, so this location sure made an impression. When the manager argues with you for calling in a complaint, then you find out that the manager is the person you are calling in the complaint for, it shows complete lack of professionalism or common sense for that matter. He ardently defended himself and his crew for being completely off task, holding customers up for ridiculous amounts of time and actively ignoring them to chat among one other. Trying to give the drive-thru member the benefit of the doubt, we wait patiently, this is after nearly 10 minutes of waiting behind the car in front of us, (whose order was NOT big enough to be waiting that long) but after handing the person our money, he shuts the window and holds our order inside the shop. We've got an appointment to get to, he is taking his sweet time not paying attention to us, and we don't even have our order, (which is a measly 3 pretzels; NOT something you wait an additional 10 minutes for). Watching this man grab ass with his coworkers, we finally get the chance to talk to him when he opens the window letting him know his neglectful behavior is NOT acceptable for customer service, to which he of course defends. I wouldn't even give this place a star if I could post the review without it, it doesn't deserve any. He wouldn't even give us his superior's name or number, obviously covering up his mistakes, blatantly lying with the excuse that he "couldn't release that information". We called corporate, but if anyone has a more local higher up's contact information, we would love to let them know what's going on at their store. I've read some of the other reviews and it's clear these employees have no intention of sharing any way to get a hold of their bosses; they intentionally withhold it. They can't get...
Read moreThe line was super long. I ordered 4 blizzards, 2 was strawberry cheesecake. Get up to the window. She hands me 3 blizzards. I say I ordered 4. She goes the receipt just says 3. I said ok but I said 2 strawberry cheesecake blizzards, can you ring me up for the 2nd one I asked for. She said you have to get back in line to order. I said no I’m not doing that, this isn’t my fault. You misheard me but I specifically asked for 2 cheesecakes. The line is super long and I’m not waiting in it again. With my 3 other blizzards that I need to get home before they melt. She said I have too get back in line. I refused. They said ok well you’re on camera and we will call the cops. So I sat there for about 15 min. Called My fiancé, Told him what was going on. Am Indian guy that worked there came recording me on his phone saying I’m making him lose business by not moving out the drive thru. I said well You wouldn’t be losing any money if you just rung me up for another blizzard. What kind of customer service is this. Then he said I’m never allowed back there. I would of stayed longer But My 4 year old daughter started crying saying I don’t want the police to take us so I left. This happened last night and my daughter is still worried about the police coming to get us. Only gave 1 star because I couldn’t give 0. Then, when I got home, I realized they gave me a New York royal cheesecake blizzard which is different than the strawberry cheesecake. It also cost more. They did ring me up for the royal one. Either way it was not what I ordered. I will never return to this Dairy...
