Order was somehow misplaced. I was offered nothing in an apology or to make things right. Just told it would be another 30-40 min. But maybe I can push it faster to 20 min. And it sure enough, it has been way past the 20 min mark. If I didn’t prepay, I would have walked out. Completely disappointed with everything.
UPDATE: I never once raised my voice at anyone. I was frustrated for sure. I do not appreciate being told 20 minutes for a wait period. And then it being over 30 minutes— (approx. 45 min later food arrived) Whoever wrote this reply is clearly lying or been lied to. I was offered a refund right when food arrived and never offered a complimentary drink. I wouldn’t have anyways, but the offer would have been noted.
BTW— I wrote my review at the 30 minute mark. I asked for a mangers phone number because the level of courtesy was not given. Once the manager finally said he was the manager, again well after 30 minutes. I told him the story and he said, oh i didn’t you paid already. I said yes, i showed the girl earlier i paid. So i showed him the withdrawal from my account. He look confused to say the least. He did finally apologize and say they were new and working out the kinks. He would talk to the hostess about giving length of time. He did finally offer to give me a refund but right at that time my food was ready. I grabbed the food and ran back to work. I had already explained to him I was late since the website they have listed for ordering online is wrong and have been waiting for an unacceptable time. Also, I told the hostess, no onions on everything. I threw everything out since onions were on EVERYTHING. Hindsight, i should have waited for the refund because the food went to trash anyways. I stand by statement of the level of courtesy was not given. And i couldn’t rate the food because well onion allergy. Didn’t feel like an allergic reaction after an already horrid experience. Lastly, when there was a problem, a manager should have made himself known and taken care of the issue. Not a hostess who wasn’t properly trained. He had more than enough time to taken care of the issue. Also, the food had onions and i CLEARLY stated...
Read moreIndita Mia (my darling) is a very well decorated, clean, and delicious restaurant. The Mexican food tastes authentic to me (I'm mexican and usually only make Mexican food at home) and probably some of the best Mexican I've had out here that isn't from a taco truck but a truly good Mexican sit down restaurant. Perfect for a date night and I guess they have very popular brunch.
Juices for drinks are made in house and although I had a non alcoholic pineapple mint juice it was delicious. My husband had the India mia cocktail and the margarita and he said both were really good.
For appetizers we got the Chicharrón de queso tacos. Perf of you are low carb or just love cheese which we do, as the shell is just a melted cheese shell. Not too greasy for it being cheese and the meat was perfectly flavored and juicy. It was amazing.
For mains I got the enfrijoladas. Which is similar to enchiladas but instead of rolled it's typically folded stuffed with chicken but their version is cheese stuffed. And instead of a red or green salsa it's dipped in a bean salsa. Ive made this at home a couple times but always wanted to try from a restaurant but you don't normally see this on the menu. This plate did not disappoint. If anything imma do some things different when I make this next time at home. The cheese was similar to a ricotta cheese, soft and curdly but not runny. It held it's shape well when cutting through the enchiladas and complimented the bean salsa. It was super delicious and I would def recommend plus it's a vegetarian friendly dish. My husband got the ribeye carne asada. It came with a spicy sausage beans and tortilas and pickled red onions. Meat was sliced like a carne asada and grilled. It was super delicious and the sausage was to die for. Some of the best beans I've had at a mexican restaurant. I can't wait to come back.

Read moreFinally got to try this restaurant in Tacoma. You’ll want to park on Broadway street then walk down the stairs to get to their storefront on Commerce Ave. Their menu is a QR code so you’ll have to know how to scan it with your smart phone. The space was intimate and minimally decorated, but the main focus was on the food. We ordered the Taquitos Dorados as an appetizer and it was presented on a string with each of the mini tacos hanging from a clothespin! It was so fun to see but I bet if you were a kid, this would be a captivating way to experience your dinner. We also ordered the Vampiros and the Tacos de Barbacoa. The Vampiros (like the taquitos) were served on a mini cutting board with the restaurant name stamped into it. There were only 2 but the portion sizes were surprisingly filling! The tacos were birria style, and the consommé was flavorful and not greasy. My only critique is that they didn’t have photos of the food on their menu but that was easily resolved with a quick google search. If you aren’t familiar with Mexican dishes, it can be hard to discern what to order based off of a description alone. The service was wonderful, friendly, prompt, and attentive. I think that the presentation and flavors were that of a more upscale restaurant, which makes this experience humble...
