Just had a ridiculous experience here. My husband tried to walk in to order, but there was a sign saying to order online. Which we did. It said our donuts would be ready in 20 minutes. Whaaat would take that long?
Ok fine, we went to get something to eat (you'll see that result in another review). My husband ordered a box of assorted because he couldn't get it to allow him to order a single donut. But there's only 2 of us. I only wanted one fritter and no randomness, and successfully ordered one online. When we came back 30 minutes later, we had to wait on a huge long drivethru car line, where everyone was ordering...not picking up online orders. So clearly we could have just done the drivethru right away without waiting.
Another 20+ minutes later, it's our turn at the order window. They tell us they only have 3 types of donuts, so that's what they put in the assorted order. It took them a while to find my fritter order. Then my husband said then we'll need a refund on the single order that they charged our card for, since that one was specific. The guy passed the buck to the pickup window, who told us they don't even have refund capabilities.
I'll repeat that: They accepted our online order with no error messages, for food they didn't have in stock, couldn't find the order record, and refused to do a refund. So my husband said I'm not leaving the line until we work something out. Anything at all. So they gave him a free dozen of the one kind they have left, which are a little soft and stale (this is excusable to, because donuts at 10pm are often subpar). It's just another straw on the camel's back, not the real problem.
So we paid $20 and over 50 minutes of our life (not counting the 75 minute roundtrip drive), to not receive a single donut we actually wanted. And two people now have 24 donuts that they don't want. We drove from Port Orchard to Tacoma for this?
It has been a rough few days for service, but I know that's got to be a coincidence. Hopefully our next trip is a good one and I can...
Read moreI don't know what the problem is with their employees but my God had the rudest cashier/order taker. He did not listen to my girlfriend when she was telling him what we wanted, he asked us over and over again what we were asking for and in the middle of the order he told us to literally stop because he had to go. He did not say anything along the lines of, "would you mind if I get back to you?" It was just, "stop, I have other things to do".
His overall tone was so demeaning, rude and unwelcome. The way he spoke to us I could tell he didn't want to be there, he didn't want to take our order, for some reason he was annoyed with us (we were there getting our order taken for at least 8minutes... we only ordered 6 donuts, milk, and a box of donut holes). I couldn't even get the original glazed that day because he said their donut machine was broken, but somehow I was able to get glazed donut holes? I'm not sure if their machine was actually broken or if he is just the most rude, lazy and inconsiderate human being to have ever worked in food service. I used to enjoy going through and getting a few dozen of donuts but after this experience I am honestly reconsidering it. This boy was the rudest, most inconsiderate, degrading, mean and ditsy employee I've come into contact with to date.. he made my girlfriend and I really feel like we were burdening him by just being there and wanting the donuts they sell. I'd rather deal with a business staffed of stoned people and wait a full half hour to get something which takes less than a minute to put into a box than go back here and literally be made to feel like I am the scum of the earth for absolutely no reason.
Stay away until they get their...
Read moreI placed an order online, which included a dozen of assorted and a dozen glazed. I waited in the drive-thru line for about 15 minutes, which I was expecting because I always see a long line there, as with most places nowadays. Once I got there, I was told they only had 3 of the requested assorted due to post pandemic fallout, I imagine. Since I was already there, I went ahead and ordered a couple of drinks too. When I got to the window, I was told that the chiller was also not available because the machine wasn't cooperating. Corey, the manager did his best to make it all work and that is who this review is about, not necessarily Krispy Kreme. He was so kind and tried so hard to make me happy, even though they literally only had 25% of what I ordered available (not counting the drink). It was difficult as the order was not actually my choices and was for others who had put in their request. Corey's demeanor and attitude remained calm and kind during this process. We had some small talk while he was trying to fix things and he had mentioned how many hours he had been working over the past few days, so I was even more impressed with his calm and kind demeanor. Kudos to you Corey, for being an example of what customer service has been missing for so many years and kudos to Krispy Kreme for finding such a great representative for their company. As a final result, I was offered a refund and I was thankful for that. My crew was happy too, even though some did not get what they had ordered - I know... it's just donuts lol. It was an ugly situation that turned out fine, thanks to great...
